Emu - a unique and very curious bird that does not see humans as a threat.
Emus are weak punk-ass bitches.
You want a real bird, fight a secretarybird.
That's hilarious, because Australia had an Emu war and lost... The Emus won.
Ask me fool.

I love Christmas.
I want to celebrate it for the month it's in.
That doesn't make me a grouch, it doesn't make me a joyless person, it makes me a person who wants to celebrate a holiday in the month it falls on.
Same goes for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and every other holiday.
This.
I love Christmas too and I dislike seeing products for Christmas out too early.
But I don't let it get me mad, I've learnt to only care about it enough to say it once or twice before December rolls around and I'm all "motherfucking Christmas yo!"

Without having seen every movie in existence, I can't honestly tell you.
I like movies, at times, isn't this enough?

I'm spiritualistic and a scientist. I don't think there's an issue with being both.
Energy changes constantly, it is never created nor destroyed, it's not beyond the possibility for energies to interact and have weird shit happen (quantum physics guys!)
So being a Buddhist or Hinduist isn't beyond reproach while being a scientist... also some aspects of paganism or wicca.

1. The universe has survived for that long without collapsing because the expansion is increasing at an exponential rate. The energy produced during the big bang is still being used in expansion.
2. Where are you getting your information that the older galaxies are in the outer rim? How could we even know where the outer rim is when we don't even know where the centre of the expansion is?
3.Hawking is a scientist, I don't care what his religion is.

Dude, I see where you're coming from, but there's only a finite amount of scenarios that a person can write themselves into.
It really all depends on how well you write it and how well it conforms to the story-line as to whether or not it'll be appealing to an audience.
The damsel trope is a classic and if to exploit the male protagonist weakness is to capture and possibly even torture their female counterpart, it makes sense to do it and there are plenty of situations a write can create to make it so the female, while very capable, is at the villains' mercy.
