Yeah, I'm keeping reserved about it because of issues I've had earlier this year with someone else. I'm just at that stage where I'm thinking being alone is probably best, but if something comes along I wont outright reject it.

Not really. I just have an internet friend whom I frequently talk to, but he is always talking about the mystical and I keep thinking it's because he's having a hard time dealing with real life. I just need to have more frequent conversations with someone who doesn't make me want to tell him he should be in a home.

That does sound a little fucky. Having normal human conversations is a good plan, but you may also want to consider still talking to the nutter butter internet friend, even if it is limited. You may be a lifeline to the sane world for the guy.

I like that my family question the facts I say, it shows their criticism, intelligence and that they don't take conjecture as fact. But I hate how they do it every single time, that just makes me think that they think I'm stupid and I don't know anything.

I have had friends who challenged my every move and statement, regardless of validity. I think it was because I am the type to quip off random bits of knowledge about everything relevant to the current situation and sometimes that gets on people's nerves. Maybe your family is just pretentious and doesn't like you being more intelligent?
