That spinning wire, I'm pretty sure the "jets of electrons" aren't the reason it's spinning. There's an electrical current being made, which means that a magnetic field is being propagated... I'm pretty sure that's the reason why it's spinning. I could be wrong, but it's doubtful that those electrons create enough opposing force to air drag, to make the wire move like that.

I put this outfit on and did my hair and thought "holy shit, it looks like I jumped out of the Star Wars universe" it's a bad photo, but it expresses the point.
