#28731 Best Instructional Video for Pistol Stance

I think one way to reduce gun crime is to change the way they are portrayed in movies, tv shows, etc.  People who do not have real gun experience I would think are inclined to evaluate through TV and video games.   That would reduce the domestic gun crimes you hear about on CNN.

As for the import/export and war on drugs, (which spleenbe talkin' bout) I think you could reduce gun crime by reducing the penalty for drug crimes.  But the politicians want all the "bible thumpers" to vote for them, so it will be awhile.

I believe we have the largest criminal population in the world?

The States has the largest prisoner population in the world I believe.
However, that does not mean it has the largest criminal population in the world.
A lot of countries don't crack down on a lot of criminal activity as much as the States does.

I think the place with the highest criminal concentration is fairly obvious.
Gotham city.

I would rather fight someone breaking into my house with a club or bat than to have a gun.

If it is hard/impossible for the general public to get a hold of handguns then you know that the random civilian trying to break into your house most likely isn't armed with a gun. So you don't need a gun to defend yourself.

It is the exact same principal as far as equal and opposite reaction.
If you are attacked with a gun then yes, it makes sense to want a gun to defend yourself.
But that just escelates the situation.
If guns are removed from the whole scenario, then things are better and safer overall.

As far as training goes, you can just as easily becomes trained in physical combat as you can in projective weapons.
So you would be just as prepared to defend yourself from someone as your would if you had a gun.

Many, many an hour wasted watching my people die from dysentery.
All you chums who liked Oregon Trail shall indeed go a bit too crazy over this.

Just, plain, awesome.

Some animals talk.
That only makes them more delicious in my opinion.
Nothing tastier than sorrow.

The light switch stains are poop, definitely poop from the dildos.
Had to be said, and I apologize.

Salad, I need not this pathetic attempt at a morsel of sustenance.
Let us henceforth banish this salad idea to the wastelands of our histories and eat not a thing but meat and mead.
May our children's children be spared the heartache and tribulation of a salad filled domain.

His statements have some merit, but they are a bit convoluted.
Yes we are trashing our planet, but would that change very much if we dumped all that Mars money into environmental studies?
No, probably not.
We would know more about our planet but that wouldn't stop us from being idiots and mistreating it.
If, however, we happen to find something along the lines of life outside of our happy little orb, the entire world changes forever.
That is worth the price tag for me.

#28157 Why So Serious

My thoughts when a woman near me is on her period:

I know
I know
I know
I don't care
No I know I just don't care
Well its hard to keep caring when I am constantly reminded of it
I know
I don't like you wearing underwear anyway
No I didn't think they were cute
If it is that bad why don't you go for a walk or a jog
No I do understand
I just know that exercise can get rid of the cramps
Ok, well just sit there and whine
I am well versed in ignoring you people anyway
.
.
.
.
Still don't care
You are interrupting my sandwich with your whines
Yes I like the sandwich more than you right now
It is fulfilling my needs and you are not
Isn't there a closet you could go sit in and do this
Or wait until I am done this sandwich and can leave
This is getting out of hand
You have upset my sandwich
I know
Yeah, well you won't hate me tomorrow

I would hope she did it to gain his powers.
I would be the biggest cannibal if the world worked that way.

Yes, they are.

Okey dokey then.

Am I not the only one convinced they were, like, 10?

Both of them would always post garbled half-posts, with zero attempt at legibility

They also both had unnatural fixations on Nintendo characters.

I am on the same page as you on that one.
They were definitely rough around the edges in a very typical way for small children.

Everyone else has a thread for their drawings so I figured I may as well put up some old doodles I have kicking around.

Everything I've got as far as drawings go were done when I was in high school.
So they leave much to be desired in terms of quality.

This is what I did to the inside of one of my notebooks instead of learning math.

Then the Imperials bust through his door and he rolls his eyes and exclaims "Oh bother, its these gents again."
Followed by him pulling their arms off with grace and dignity.

#27293 If you could be one of the various types of movie monsters, what would you be?

Posted by Affray on 27 October 2012 - 08:12 AM

I always leaned toward the werewolf side of things.
Yes the transformation looks terrible, but I bet the body would create chemicals to help cope with that, plus adrenaline.

Werewolves are more honest as far as monster transformations go anyway.
We are just animals with the forethought to restrict our actions.
Becoming a werewolf drops that wall and you achieve total freedom of action.
Granted, werewolves almost always get hunted down because they wreak havok, but that doesn't mean they can't be smart about it and not get caught.
Like move to Australia where there is the space to romp around and not murder people.
