#127750 Third person

Interesting that you play Skyrim in third person, it never felt right to me.

If that's your jam my hot list would be Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and the Mass Effect Trilogy remastered.

What else do you play?

It's easier to recommend good stuff when I understand your style.

Also hardcover.

I've got big mitts and paperback books are always just a bit too small to be comfortably held for a few hours of reading.

I also prefer the way hardcovers look and sit on shelves and in stacks.

I still check in from time to time when life permits, even if it's just to look at the wall of bots and wonder when in the flying fuck pop-up ads became a part of the landscape.

This place and you people have a cozy little spot in the back of my brain that I don't plan on getting rid of.

So long as I can come here I will.

It's actually kind of a nice surprise to show up and see a completely cleaned up main page with a new topic created by an actual human member.

I was here a few days ago and it sunk me a little bit to see things in that state, but it feels very good to know that more of us are still attached.

As weird as that sounds.

I was homeschooled.

So, the washing machine warranty book then?

Velma is where it's at.

Intelligence has always grabbed my attention over physical appearance.

I like a tall redhead with attitude as much as the next guy, but Velma hits a chord with me.

Short, smart, cute instead of sexy, thick hips wrapped in a skirt and a turtleneck that she definitely wears to conceal an obviously considerable bust.

Sign me right the fuck up.

After typing that I've come to the realisation that I just described my wife.

Son of a bitch, I think Scooby Doo dictated my preferences in women.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is pretty good, and it's the more accurate one to the manga.

The first one was completed before the manga finished I believe so they made up a lot of the latter half of the story, which isn't terrible, I just prefer Brotherhood.

Both are worth a watch though.

I also enjoyed Cowboy Bebop, though I came late to the party on that one so it wasn't new when I first watched it.

It didn't quite hit the bar that I set for it given how loved it is by internet people, but it is certainly very good.

I've been slacking on the anime front in recent years, adult life and all that jazz, but here's what I've seen that I thought was good in one way or another:

Hunter X Hunter

The Seven Deadly Sins

Attack on Titan

Kill la Kill

Parasyte

One Punch Man

Devilman Crybaby

Sword Art Online (though it has some weak points I still like it)

Well I can assure you that if I find myself in a future situation where I've got more money than I know what to do with I'll be making it happen.

All expenses paid, booze and soft drugs if you're into that sort of thing, place to sleep, gift bag on your way out.

When I sat down and did the tallies a while back I realised that most of my millionaire fantasies are very other people-centric.

I want this get together.

I'd start businesses and hire coworkers from my life whom I feel deserve to be treated and paid well instead of shat on by companies, and they'd also be making me money but that's not the real goal if I'm loaded to the tits already.

Everyone in my immediate family would be getting a home and their debts wiped away, nieces and nephews would be set up for college (or a down payment on their own house if they don't do post secondary), that sort of stuff.

I am very aware of the struggle and drudgery of life in general and feel the need to alleviate as much of that weight from the people in my life wherever I can.

Tonnes of money would make that a very feasible achievement.

I honestly don't think I could come up with a better DJ name for you than Mister Sympa.

And upon some inspection I've got to agree with DJ Konta, most of our usernames are half decent sounding already.

I used to think the same. Then..... I start to miss humans.

49% Extrovert, 51% Introvert. I tend to jump between the two.

I still like some people, and enjoy socialising with them, or anyone really.

My social battery just starts draining as soon as I leave the house and at any given point in my day it suddenly dies. Regardless of the social situation my brain is just done handling the mental gymnastics and does this:

I fucking adore being stuck inside, but the itch to go be a part of nature has been building for a while now.

Like way the hell out there somewhere where things are dark and quiet and the world expects nothing from you.

We've been inside for months, smells are a part of life now.

Merry Ho Ho to you too.

Also, Chistmas.

My wife and I don't do anything special for the spooky season.

We tend to live pretty spooky year round, this time of year it just becomes more socially acceptable, which is nice.

Other than wearing a mask everywhere and sanitising groceries my general habits haven't changed all that much.

Which carries over to my hobbies.

They're mostly indoors and entirely solitary ventures, which is tailor made for global viral pandemic times.

I play video games, read, write, cook, can food, fix up my house to make it comfier and safer, do woodworking, hand carve/whittle, garden, hike/camp, forage in my yard, create and sew patches, rug hook, knit/crochet. And the list goes on.

It's kind of nice to have things to do that don't rely heavily on outside sources to function.

So would I, it would be like an art festival.

The other day I happened upon the knowledge that Ghibli released four hundred images from some of their movies free of copyright restrictions not too long ago.

It's worth a look.

This is their official site:

My town isn't big enough to warrant any sort of movie theatre, but the drive-in theatre nearby has been playing stuff like Jaws and Gremlins a lot lately.

Which is a pretty sweet idea I think.
