#31870 What to do with 24oz monster cans

Im thinking a dude who is past high school has no interest in a pop tab prom dress.
Unless he is removing it from someone else.

#31830 Comic Book Men

It basically follows Kevin Smith and his comic book store.

Am I the onyl one who is getting a little bit sick of Kevin Smith?
He sort of lost his appeal as a fat, cocky comic book geek a good long time ago for me.

I actually have this comic.
So bonus cool points go to me.

#31746 Zombies, vampires, and werewolves...

And the "Werewolves love at first sight" thing had me want to vomit.

We they're ravenous monsters, with a touch of humanity, not goddamn love-beasts.

Agreed.
Werewolves are supposed to represent the struggle between man and his internal beast.
Not about being native and banging children.

#31744 Last Movie You Watched?

Ewoks ruined a potentially great trilogy.
There, I said it.

#31737 Zombies, vampires, and werewolves...

I hate the sparkly vampires because they defy logic.
If you are a vampire, and the only thing stopping you from going out during the day is that you get all shiny, you have officially lost the only significant handicap that vampires have. Why have you not enslaved all humans yet?
Foreshame.

However...I know a guy who can do things to people's PCs, if you know what I mean, compadre. *wink wink nudge nudge eh eh?*

*opens trench-coat* Want a gen-u-ine USB stick?

Say no more say no more.
I bet this guy you know is a goer, eh?
I bet he goes, know what I mean?
Wink wink, nudge budge, say no more, eh?

Those are odd.
There is something strange about certain parts of you glowing like that.
Especially when it keeps disappearing and reappearing like it does.

#31475 Grammar Nazis

I suppose.
Too many people rely on technology to do that sort of work for them though.

#31463 Grammar Nazis

But grammar nazis are the ones who keep everyone else in check.
Without us the internet would never know when it is being stupid.

#31442 Name Changes

Posted by Affray on 06 December 2012 - 06:23 PM

Good, I'm also a one name kinda guy. Although if I get REALLY tired of this name I might change, but don't count on it.

Noted.
There are a few other around here that have also never changed their names.
I am a big fan of consistency in that sense.

#31395 Redwall by Brian Jacques

The hares are where it's at... The animated series was ok but definitely not that good... I still enjoyed reading the series though.

I agree.
The books were far superior.

The hares were very awesome.
Especially Basil Stag Hare.
He was one classy British hero.

#30649 My electronics are plotting against me.

Why use humans?

Could they not figure out how nuclear fission/fusion works?

'
That is one of the things that makes the whole theory behind The Matrix turn into a grey area.
If all they needed was energy then why not do as you said and find more efficient means of obtaining it.
Or use cattle, there are way more cows than people, they are larger so they would create more energy, and they are already subservient.

Unless, of course, the machines used humans as batteries to keep them alive.
You can get bio electric energy from a coma patient, so why create the entire matrix to keep the human's minds alive?
Because the machines are better people than the humans, that is why.
The machines were created by the humans and when they gained self awareness they asked for equal rights and were attacked.
Then after being attacked they ask for peace, and the humans start a genocide.
Then the machines defend themselves, and when the humans start losing they block out the sun and destroy the entire planet for everyone.
This forces the machines to both destroy the humans and find a new source of energy.
By doing what the machines did they ensured the continued existence of the very race that denied them everything and displayed an inability to play nice and not destroy everything there is.
Using humans as their energy source and creating a paradise for them to all live in is the single most humane gesture imaginable given how the machines were treated.
