#94798 Bullied for liking Star Wars?

Posted by SushiKitten on 24 August 2015 - 04:00 AM

It's entitled nerds that think a movie/series/etc. belongs to them and no one else. When someone who is not an obvious social exile (say, an attractive female) shows love for a fandom, they think that that person must be faking it for male attention, or attention in general since being a nerd is "in" or something. They won't believe that that person is a genuine fan and they'll look for anything to discredit them.

I think in this case though it's young boys who think that girls can't like Star Wars because it's "for boys".

#94390 THE DEPRESSION THREAD

I guess I've been lucky to be a "C" almost all my life. The only time they went bigger was during breastfeeding, and then they only went up to "DD". I had a friend that was naturally a "DD" and she had a reduction because of her back.

I so agree, I'm happy with a C, they're big enough to be there and I can still sleep on my stomach.

Though I'd like enough to have some cleavage.. One thing I'm jealous of is the extra "pocket" for things

Damn, Leafa.

I'll take the heat on this one, totally my bad.

I'm sorry, guy.

I'd give you a cookie.. But.. Well.. :(

Naah, totally my fault. I secretly didn't want to study anyway  ;)

I saw cookie clicker in the name and noped right out of there. Time killer? That's a time lich that slits your time's thin throat with a butter knife, performs a dark ritual, then brings time back to life to smack you with its undead rotten maggot dick. That game is a huge time dump.

That said, if there's an update since last time I will play the hell out of it.

Wish I read this after I sunk two hours of my life into this... the night before an exam.

I can confirm that it works, but it is sorcery.

Not too bad for a little 30min project. I had a hard time getting the plastic pieces cut out though, I didn't have anything suitable so I had to use a box cutter.

I'd do it t see this.

In fact, I think this is how I will procrastinate and not study today.

#93924 Cheerleaders

Posted by SushiKitten on 09 August 2015 - 04:26 AM

This caught me off guard and I woke others with my guffawing

I ran into an ex-girlfriend of my older brother a few years ago. Before they broke up, she was a dancer at some dance business in Dollywood. He took far, FAR too much joy in the fact she was chubbers after the breakup.

I assume you're the type who uses Facebook to stalk the mean old cheerleaders who ignored you back in high school and can only imagine the giddy look on your face matched my brother's as you scroll through their tubby tagged photos. #stuffingmahfaceatolivegarden #bbwpudding #realcurvesrealwomen

.

I don't understand that logic "Ha, I may have not done anything with my life since high school, I'm a total shut in and loser who can't let go of grudges but at least she got fat!"

Oh the horror, she's less attractive in a world that only values women based on how attractive they are, but at least she's probably happy and not facebook stalking her exs to feel better about herself.

We don't have cheerleading teams where I'm from, I've never seen one. That being said I kind of liked gymnastics after I left high school and wished I had done some. I think it'd be cool to be able to do, it takes a lot of work, and trust in gravity which I don't have.

#92292 Do Canadians Celebrate Birthdays Two?

Posted by SushiKitten on 07 June 2015 - 06:58 AM

Aww thank you everyone! I'm not sure where you got 39 though, I'm only turning 22! Haha. And what a cool website, I always wondered with which anime characters I shared a birthday, now I know. Chitoge was best girl tho, so so true.

Happy birthday Sushi.

Do not under any circumstances let anyone know the details of our secret Canadian birthday ceremonies.

I will see you at the Fire of Aegis.

!! We must keep the name of the great ceremony a secret! They may catch on...

Anyone else playing? I got a Wii U just for this game (also a couple others but this one sparked me getting one) and I'm loving it so much, it's a lot of fun. I love the feeling of the whole game as well, it seems like something that should have been done a long time ago but never was until now.

Also Ika Musume's getting in on it: http://nintendoevery...ration-costume/

#91429 Do Not Track (An Interactive Documentary)

Posted by SushiKitten on 17 May 2015 - 11:00 AM

I thought this might go here. I've been taking more of an interest in internet security lately, looking in to all the tracking stuff that happens without us knowing and I ended up looking at this after being pointed towards it through a podcast.

Do Not Track is an interactive documentary about the information that you are unknowingly giving to websites as well as what's being shared about you between websites. I think it's also interesting how they opted for an interactive documentary than a traditional one. The episodes are short, full of information, and gives you multiple opportunities to see how different websites share information with eachother (also how Google owns the internet p much). I found the episodes a bit strange in the images and things they show you, but it is still full of useful information.

Take a look here. https://donottrack-d...om/en/episodes/

#91414 Favorite Books

Posted by SushiKitten on 17 May 2015 - 08:12 AM

  1. Patrick Rothfuss - The Name of the Wind
  2. Patrick Rothfuss - The Wise Mans Fear
  3. The Lord of the Rings books are pretty good.
  4. The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks is a good read too.

We have similar taste in books man. :P

I still need to read Rothfuss, I was tempted to buy The Name of the Wind last week but I couldn't justify it considering all the books I still own but have not read, haha.
