for anyone else, it's a quick way to level your first pets to 25. you can ignore the first two paragraphs, cause you're doing this on live so ptr shit don't matter. once you get your 25s you can power level other pets you want by sending them out to battle first, using an attack and hoping they get hit or hit with the move to get participation credit, then switch to a 25 to kill the pets in battle. easy peasy.

yeah, that's him. the quest line is cool as hell. you get insight onto how the warlock tomes (the grimoire talents) and it culminates into a fight against kanrethad. trying to minimize the lore spoilers, i enjoyed it.

 

can you use minions? yes. will you? no. you have to enslave a pit lord that he summons which removes your ability to use one of yours, so you are better off taking sacrifice to sac one of your demons for the buff and still use the pit lord.

like i said, i went from dying at the first imp phase to reliably getting him sub 50% with my best being about 30%. it's definitely not a fight you can power through, it's a big mechanics cock block. it's sadly made the lock forums a place of bile and hatred.

 

and yeah, we can definitely do zul'aman if that's what y'all want. should be easy to beat the timer now. can probably just shrug off mechanics, too. just let me know when y'all wanna so i don't pull a rage quit like i did earlier.

honestly never realized they weren't common till a few years ago. i have them a lot. of course, my dreams (that i can recall) are always quite vivid.

doesn't surprise me. i honestly spent close to six hours a day those three days going for mine. the book i sent you wasn't from farming like that, but casual rare killing trying to get keys and vp over roughly two weeks. rare killing isn't quite as lucrative as it was when the patch hit. there were roaming bands of 10 - 20 horde and ally killing them, so they went down quick. now you're lucky if you get one or two people killing them with you, so it's usually you against a 7-10m health monster.

 

when i finally got it, then spent an hour on the boss. got tired of throwing my head against a brick, so i quit trying cause at that point i had one day left on my account and wasn't gonna spend it being pissed off at it. went back to try to kill him again a  day or two ago cause i was bored, but i could barely get the fucker to the first fel pup stage through all the shaking i was doing. food in the house again, so i'll try again soon. fight is 95% mechanics, and one fuck up is a wipe. 

 

yeah, that place is fun. annoying as shit if you fuck up and aggro things, though. i explicitly get keys on my priest, lock, and monk every week. that place is a lot bigger than you think, though. since elder charms are all but useless to my priest (lock needs trinkets bad and monk is still rocking blues), i use her to try and get further in that the other two. i can buy more of the help items to progress further. plus a good run will net me every coin i spend back, anyway.

yeah of course. took me three days of farming to get my first, so i know what you mean. handy that farming rares can be quick valor >.>

can't deny that. however, that did take me the longest to make at about four months between the first binding dropping and the second (which is better than my rogue and pally, neither have seen one drop). however, i had to get my 85 priest into bwl and solo the first two bosses (i can't stress this enough, FUCK vael) to get to the damn goblin to get the bar recipe. then i spent two days farming thorium to get crystals for 100 arcanite bars (pain in my ass to sell 2k thorium bars/ore, though). now, if only that luck would work for onyxia (almost 100 runs so far, no mount).

arcanite bars? cause that's what i was making.

 

and it's alright now. barking in trade, i bought a whole three... i farmed up the rest, though.
