I can confirm the Canadians and maple syrup thing, Definitely throw it on odd food for fun. Maple syrup goes pretty well with spicy stuff too, you get a great mix.

I knew it!

I had grilled cheese with bacon and French fries last night. Nothing weird was put on them. Just cheese and bacon. And ketchup for the fries.

Pizza the night before that and well, turkey the day before that.

Do Canadians just manually put maple syrup on everything?

I mean, you're not the first to do chicken and waffles. That's been done. But BBQ chicken and maple syrup topped with onions? No.

NO!

JUST NO!

5 more hours and my four day weekend starts. Fuck yeah!

Going to spend so much money and probably gain 10 pounds. Shit I need it, I just weighed myself and I'm 155!

I'm just so chuffed.

I found a $20 bill at a free style motorcross once. I was waiting in line for delicious greasy foods with my buddy and lo' and behold it was right in front of our feet. Paid for our meals.

Literally 90% of the conversations I listen to around my town are about baseball, hockey, football, what everyone else in town is up to, and shooting shooting various wildlife.
I feel your pain.

This one guy at work went on tell a story one morning. Just talking, took a good solid 20 minutes explaining ...practically nothing.

So you didn't shoot at or bag a buck? You're literally telling me you put on an orange jacket found a field and sat in a stand with your dick in hand. I just broke down and simplified your story in one sentence. But I'm glad you got outside to see the wonders of nature.

#104595 why are you happy?

Posted by Photography Raptor on 07 November 2016 - 12:25 PM

Dear Diary,

I'm an odd duck sometimes. Growing up I was actually scared of responsibility. I dropped out of school at 15, I blamed it on certain circumstances. I don't regret it one bit. The amount of Me time was phenomenal. I learned more things during my later teens browsing the web and MSN/Yahoo chatrooms than I ever did in my time in school. I encouraged myself to read more, to learn more on my own. Explore the world any way I can. I have done very little travel and barely leave my own city, but hey, that shit costs money!

I didn't allow myself to be encouraged by my vigilante friends, I didn't give into peer pressure and was very comfortable saying 'no' to things I simply didn't want to do. I was bull-headed, short-tempered, silly & stupid. I didn't get my license until I was 19, because I was too nervous to take on that responsibility. I didn't move out of the nest until I was 25 because I wasn't ready. And...I was lazy. I held odd jobs since I was 14, but I had a tendency to quit them and stay unemployed for a few months at a time. I straightened myself out and learned as long as you get your 40 in, things will stay kosher. They have.

Growing up I didn't have a mom. Someone to teach me to be respectful. To brush my teeth and go back to school. I had a dad who never hugged me, said I love you, but he'd take a bullet for me. He would tackle a full grown bear to the ground if I was in danger of being mauled to death. He does love me. He would take me out fishing, hunting or to the movies if I wanted it. That's all I needed. He's a mountain man who grew up hating his own father. He was never really great at family stuff, but he was there. That's always important. Even though he disowned my sister I still love the sonuvabitch. If it ever came down to it one day where it was him or her, well then sorry pops. Sister needs someone to tackle bears for her.

All things considered. I didn't have a bad childhood. I didn't get into any trouble. I admit, I wasn't very smart at times...but I learned from it (heh mostly). I got wiser. Stronger. And it's just great to be able to reflect back on everything in life -- laugh, cry, or just plain forgive & forget. I wouldn't change a thing. The best thing I can say about all this is...well, I'm not perfect. Far from it. I have urges that I cave into every now and then, not life-threatening by any means lol but you get idea. I like who I am, and any insecurities I have about myself are pretty much shared by every human being on planet Earth. It's all part of growing up. Ready for everything but taking one slice at a time. Basically Diary, I'm trying to tell you that I'm doing alright God damnit. I can sound dramatic at times but I'm sarcastic by nature, it's my everything mechanism. So if you're reading this Life, just know if you throw any shit my way...that I got a shovel, dawg. And I'll make it rain.

...not sure that last part really works but fuck it I'M GOING WITH IT.

- Adam, 11/7/2016 up past bedtime (again).

Well, I did it. I was bored and dug it out. There is clearly evidence in display in the background. If you look close enough you can even see my snake. ;)

Once upon a time I had a hideous long mop that reached the shoulders. I was metal. I was lame cool. Now I'm just a weirdo.

Wow, I have a lot of neat shit in there. I should like, go into my closet more or something. But it's dangerous. And for some reason never stays organized.

You'd think by keep throwing clean clothes in there they would eventually all land on hangars or something.

All this talk about patches makes me want to bust out my denim jackets. I got one with a leather backing and fringes almost to the elbows. Needs patches.

Fuck, now that I think about it that's my only denim jacket left. I gave my other good one away. I need more denim in my life.

I totally could be a model for patches.

Yeah copyright is a major problem.

Being we are northern folk Id suggest Norse mythology runes. Elder Futhark seems relatively easy to do and I myself have known a few Canadians Asatruar.

If you want to trend on mythology every culture has its symbols.

Popular culture (for me anyways) I'd go with the ME N7 symbol. Magic the Gathering mana symbols. I'll try to think of more when I get home.

Well, Sethre twisted my arm. He was like, "try this game or I'll never TALK TO YOU AGAIN. FUCK MINNESOTA!"

Nah, in all seriousness I have been trying new MMO's lately. Finally have a computer that can play games... I'm closer to the times now. Sethre had spare guest passes (and may possess a couple more is that right?) so here I am giving it a shot. Only got a couple hours in but here's my first impression:

Probably the best character customization I've seen. Not that I've sampled many games but let me tell you, I spent more time MAKING my toon than playing it. I enjoy the options and attention to detail. Pretty impressive.

I chose Sorceress for my first class. The attack motions seem aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It almost feels like Street Fighter meets up with WoW at a Yoga studio.

However, the attack animations (spell visuals) are very bland. I understand the darkness theme they kinda have to stick to? but tends to get boring. As a sorceress I guess I was hoping for more fire & ice; pillars of frost erupting from the ground and blazing meteors crashing to earth. Instead it's a whoosh of darkness. Still kinda neat, though.

As far as skill trees and itemization goes it is way too early to tell. I know the game has a learning curve to it, there's a lot of fucking stuff to explore that I have not begun to touch up on. I just run around and literally mash buttons and I fly around the field throwing dark ninja moves.

You have to choose a family name and every single good one on the planet is taken. Count on it for your character names as well. I ended up being a Rockbender. Even stuff like Ironside was taken. But after trying names for 10 minutes I landed on Starsea and made a character more fitting of the name. Here she is, my first anyways...

lndVbzJ.jpg

Turgoise-esque hair. Aqua with green tips, the same shades applied to the eyes as well as a star pupil. I think I went with a preset face, only changing the eyeliner and brows?

In the background is a Weasel, which many hath suffered my shadow dance moves. Still really don't know what the fuck is going on, like I said I am running around, button mashing, checking out my hair, and attacking whatever moves.

We recently got a bag of edibles, not my thing personally but the GF likes them. Trying to find remedies for her neck/back all the time. Massages and chiropractor are just not in the budget. She works an office paperwork job so her problem is she is constantly looking down then back up at screens. I did find this website that lists all the strains for pain relieving.

#103226 why are you happy?

Posted by Photography Raptor on 14 September 2016 - 02:40 AM

I don't. I came close a few times to getting one. When I was hardcore metal head teenager and deep into Norde mythology I was working on getting Yggdrasil along my back. It was too costly and any designs would have looked awkward and I couldn't find any shoulder blade ones I liked. I wanted to depict Ratatoskr and Niddhog in it as well. Unfortunately I can't draw.

I wish I had tried harder because to this day that would be still awesome.
