People change and that's a known fact. There's plenty of divorce out there but not all of it is ugly, nor has to be. It's just the principle of the matter... you think you know someone then one day they sit you down on a couch and it's "I'm seeing someone else. I want a divorce."

Things like this can attack a persons self-worth. It's damaging. That's why we all need friends to stand by us. Virtual or not. Lucky for her she has a few. Him, well, not so much anymore.

Just learned yesterday that friends of mine are getting a divorce.

To put a long story short:

Friend unhappy with marriage. Instead of telling anyone he starts to frequent dating sites. Meets girls on there - falls in love.

She lives in Georgia. He in Minnesota. She is ...17 and he is 29. He confessed all this to wife over the weekend and was planning on using a Dr. Who convention in May? As a cover to go meet up with her.

This is the same guy who berates people and calls them stupid for their actions or purchases. He gave me so much shit when I bought my truck and wouldn't talk to me for like a week. He just won a gold medal by his own standard.

My gf is best friends with his wife we use to do couples stuff all the time. Not anymore.

Man I just keep losing friends because I don't think I'll be able to stand the sight of him for very long. I give him kudos for coming clean but seriously

I thought I was alone. I don't care for gravy. I mean, I still eat it in small portions. Like when I have Salisbury steaks I shake off as much as the gravy as I can. Same with beef and turkey, I do a one lattle small spread.

In preparation for a little one we started (on Christmas) cleaning out the house. We officially have stopped using our garage for her car and turned it into storage.

 

Stage 1 is making space. It went smoothly, got my second TV stand, second couch, lots of stuff moved out there.

 

Stage 2 is cleaning out the bedroom and office closets to make room for her. Even though we're getting her a nice dresser we should have room for toys to keep in house. Disaster struck --

 

Bedroom closet has a huge mold infestation in one corner. Coming from under the house. A dozen of her shoes, purses, hats, you name it are moldy. Three 13 gallon bags of her stuff getting thrown out. So yeah, I get to deal with that. Or I should say the landlord does. An inconvenience nonetheless. I can take bleach water and kill the surface mold, but there needs to be new trim, carpet and drywall put in.

 

Stage 3 is simple. Just rearranging our current furniture and moving my desk to the living room and glider cage to the bedroom.

 

Stage 4 is finding a bigger house, which will wait until spring/summer. Fuck moving in winter.

 

All in all, she can live without 10, 000 pairs of shoes. Just thankful her favorite things were not affected. Like her renaissance garbs.

 

I'm not too thrilled about my gaming throne being in the living room but I'll deal.

Come February mandatory hearing protection, no food or soda outside the break room. No taking breaks at your work station, and tons of other fun stuff being updated in the old handbook. I got a feeling music will eventually be gone too.

Dude was caught with a foot long above his work station. He would feed leather and take a nibble. Like seriously? I have my snacks but I don't bust out a bag of chips are chow down while working getting shit on the product. Fuck.

I guess in my current position this doesn't affect me as I work next to the break area and can literally go any time. I just hate that mode of thinking.

It'll all work out. I'm too awesome for it not to.

In other news, I get a knock on the door and and I thought it would be my final package for Christmas but turns out to my next door neighbour...he got his early Christmas present stuck in my tree. A $160 drone, just a couple days old. On the top branch, of a 30-foot tree.

 

Sorry bro. That sucks. He's still outside wracking his brain as how he's going to get it out. Yeah, I got a 4-step ladder and no rope. But my concern is him falling and breaking his leg on my landlord's property.

Parenting is hard, and it has a lot of sacrifices, but experencing true unconditional love and making your relationship go to a new level because of it is very satisfying

 

Definitely okay with it. I realize I'll have to change a few habits, spend more money, etc. etc. We're hoping a different relative steps up and takes the responsibility. It's not that we're scared to, it's our home is very tiny and the timing of this is all wrong, and very limited. If they don't the alternative is the state takes her. Being raised by the state and living in foster care is no way to live, especially when blood relatives exist. We obviously can't let that happen. The final trial is in a month, so we'll see what happens.

 

Before my current GF I almost dated a single mom, but in the end she was the one who drove me off. Not the idea of parenting. This will give me a reason to watch more Disney movies. The last time the wee lass was over to our house we watched some of the Tinkerbell movies on Netflix.

 

Seriously, go watch the Neverbeast one, it's the best. Tinkerbell is the shiznit.

I do NOT miss VHS. I've had boxes upon boxes.

Learned that I might have a little one in my life come next month. 2nd grader. So yeah, might be becoming a 'father'.

 

Long story short, someone might be going to prison. And we might end up with the offspring.

I gave up Crunchyroll after the free trial.

I've signed up for Hulu and making my way through that. They got just as much, if not more than both other services.

Right now I'm still working on Seven Deadly Sins and started Ajin on Netflix.

Hulu going to start 2-3 shows over my long weekend. Probably One Punch Man for sure.

Cool. I get to do 400+ in deer and elk hides this week. Only got to dry those before. So this is a first.

Deer is so fucking small. Got 70 full hides loaded in a drum that normally can hold 25 steer halves.

Yup. That's why girls steal men's clothing. First time I borrowed my flannel out to my girlfriend she didn't want to return it. She wore it to bed because it smelled like me. This was very early in the relationship. When love blossomed.

She did try getting my Under Armor sweaters once. I almost had to fight her.
