Have You Won Anything?

How lucky are you? Have you ever won a big prize, money, or keep winning at things like bingo or raffles?
Not that I enter many giveaways myself but it has been 3 years or so since I won anything and that was a book ($15 value) from Goodreads. But I've entered 200+ before. Recently entered into a lot of stuff but to no avail. We're doing a pretty big United Way this year and I'm hoping for one of the six prizes anyways, just to feel special.
My grandma was the queen of meat raffles, she would come home from the bar every time with $50+ in meat having only invested less than $10.
One of my coworkers won 3.5k not six months ago, and just a couple weeks ago won 7k at the Casino. He tells everyone he doesn't go often and bought us pizza both times. Lucky bastard.
How about you guys?

Ch'yeah.
I remember the very first time I won a drawing. 2nd grade. The teacher brought in a pirate hat and placed our names inside. Winner would get to wear the badass pirate hat and lead us to the treasure (chest of chocolate candy). And be captain for the day. My name got drawn. It was amazing, I was a god. I made that teacher my wench and led my crew to the victory spoils. From that day forth I was destined for greatness. A born leader. Fast forward 25 years...
Definitely none of those things. Fuck you destiny.

I've won a couple bucks on scratch tickets some times, and won a screw driver set once.

I've won some okay money on tickets and such, but my real time to shine is raffles.
It's a gift handed down to me from my father and it is amazingly useful.
If I am at an event that has a raffle I am walking out of there with something in my hands nine times out of ten.
Midways at fairs are my jam and I rarely lose coin tosses.
Luck is a very useful thing to have at your disposal.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Yep. Quite recently actually.
Did a pretty cheesy short film/musical in 48 hours.
Ended up winning the Regionals for my city.
The prize was a HP Pavilion i7 Laptop and $600 NZD.
A week from now is the National Grand Finals. Our film made it into the top 18.
We are also nominated for best song, If we win that then it's $500NZD
1st place overall is $16,000NZD, But I'm 99% sure our film wont win that. lol

Onetime I was cleaning my house, and I forgot that I put a bag of pot in a plastic throw away cup and I ended up throwing it away.. I realized that night (after an entire day of being a mom). There was a bunch of trash on top. I was literally freaking out. I went to the trash to see the damage.. it was sitting up straight with the bag covering it haha I believe I used up all my good karma points in that moment
I would have been over the moon with tears in my eyes. lol
No kidding either I would have cried tears of joy.

I lost a draw down the sofa once without realising and found it completely by accident a few days later when I assumed I'd run out.

Went to Auckland recently, got to see my film on the second biggest screen in New Zealand. (Have you seen the 2005 King Kong film? It's the theatre in which Kong tries to kill Adrien Brody )
Our film ended up winning the BEST SONG award. Woooooo!!!! I think we won $500 worth of HP vouchers?
Anywho here's our film. lol
