nah. usually i just let the thing grow a couple inches then trim back down to a van dyke. this is the first time i've let it just grow this long.Tis truly the epitome of manliness, LD. shampooing your beard can cause dryness. definitely condition it. and if at all possible, oil it.

lol, no.
i don't personally use any oils due to lack of funds. try to find something that doesn't weigh your hair down. and importantly, one you can tolerate the smell of if it's scented.

i suggested the club/activity route because (not knowing what's actually available) if it's something that truly interests him, that means he'll be with a group of like minded kids. he'll be more likely to actually engage with them and perhaps even befriend them. that common ground will, so to speak, help him break down one of the barriers.
from my childhood experience, children are assholes. i was bullied at school and at home all my life.
it's not that there's any kids that don't wanna sit by him, it's just that he hasn't found them yet, you know?

see, that's where i draw the line. the fucking school can't accommodate something that simple? schools should help as best they can to foster a child's mind. it's just a simple matter to help him become comfortable. you're not asking for much. i bet if certain groups got wind they were unwilling to help a child with certain needs there would be a shitstorm.

i'm so sorry, bubbie. i wish i had something better to say, but i was in that exact same position as that until i had to leave school.i guess we need to find a way to get him social. are there any clubs or activities that interest him?
confidence is not my forte. but honestly, in this regard, kenny's on to something. martial arts can teach him about discipline and would give him a great energy outlet.
i'm sure you can also help him with his confidence and trying to be more social. you are good at that
