you could already own a Ps4 '-'
nah, im just shittin you, it just runs better without that one on
Still not sure if they are going to use the CMP for the Ps4 though, it's proved its worth for supercomputing, and can leave other processors in the dust
ITS JUST SO HARD TO CODE FOR
"The Cell architecture includes a memory coherence architecture that emphasizes efficiency/watt, prioritizes bandwidth over latency, and favors peak computational throughput over simplicity of program code."

It hates you

Yeah, you made a point.. But when I played MW3 on that friends PS3, I just kept on timing out and timing out. Mighta been his internet connection, but Ive seen on other forums people keep on saying "My PS3 keeps on timing out. What should I do..?" My answers are usually like this: "Either get a better internet connection, or an xBox360s and Live Gold.". But you made a point. I guess he should get a PS3 afterall. There are so many things wrong with what you just said...
Not better, depending on how you look at it it's similar, if not inferior in some circumstances
xbox has intel dual core@ 3.2, PS3 has its own Cell MP setup
Xbox has more RAM, but the PS3 more than makes up for that with the CPU Cache from the CMP [and the Cache is much faster]
Xbox uses almost outdaded DVD-ROM tech, while Ps3 has used Bluray from the start, meaning you can put more on a disk, and read from it a little faster
like i said, the big difference is Software V Hardware company, mostly in the mindset going into making them
The first one is a matter of opinion, is it worth $15 a month to get what everyone else, PC and Ps3, get for free?
the second one, I have proved to be outright false on numerous occassions
Old Xbox revisions still RROD, Xbox elite has similar problems [a friend of mines doesnt do a ring, but a single pulsing light of hatred, as we've called it]
While I have personally seen a Playstation kneed across a room [by accident mind you] with no damage to the disk or console
For the Ps3, the bluray drive, onboard wireless network card, Cell microprocessor, and Bluetooth headsets/controllers costs you
Your friend is full of crap, IMO

But, like I said, its a matter of preference, do you want superior software, or superior hardware?
The hardware, being made of physical... stuff... is gonna cost you more up front
Whereas MS is gonna charge your ass to use xbox live gold. But if you buy a years worth, you only end up paying like $7 a month.

Yeah, its peoples connections, usually if you timeout or have trouble finding games on Mw3 you have your routers NAT set wrong, also, you gotta remember that for high bandwidth games you should probably forward the ports the game is using. [most people hear me say that, and give me a blank stare]

You get 1 month for 1 dollar right now. Its not gonna last forever, though.

All the complaints I've heard about how the PS3 sucks are always boiled down to either "It doesn't have [feature] that the Xbox does, it must suck!" or "lol Sony gave your credit card details to hackers, enjoy your fraud faggots". As far as features go the only thing missing from the PS3 is cross-game party chat, which I would say is more than compensated for by the blu-ray player, the web browser, the various online TV channel options, native HD without having to pay for an extra cable, wireless rechargable controllers without paying extra for a battery pack or paying for batteries whenever they die, etc etc etc etc.
And smart people don't have their credit cards stored online anyway, so the second complaint is only a hindrance to stupid people. >_> Maybe I'm just paranoid though.
One thing I miss about the 360 though is the fact I can't change my PSN ID like I could change my gamertag. I honestly wouldn't mind changing it, even if they charged for it, because my main ID has a typo in it that I didn't spot til after a month or so lol so by then I had bought a ton of stuff on it and making a new one was out of the question.
tl;dr I prefer the PS3, but all consoles are good. Get a 3DS, they're sexy. Or a regular DS if you want to import things.

You can do cross game chat by going into the Friends tab, and starting a chat room, it can be text/voice, just text, or just voice
And the credit card table thing was kinda overblown, yes there were logs saying that a data table containing credit card information was accessed, but It was encrypted... so a lot of good it did them. If that's not enough for you, you can call sony and get a year of credit card fraud protection for free.
Also, I miss my DS...
But... Black Ops came out... and they were gonna give me $30 for it >.>
plus, the only game I had was soulsilver >_>;;
TBH I want a DS for Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton, everything else is meh

As for games, I would recommend the following:
Metal Gear Solid 4
Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection
Uncharted (1, 2, and 3)
Batman Arkham Asylum (360, PC also)
Batman Arkham City (360, PC also)
Infamous (1 and 2)
Modnation Racers
Motorstorm (1, Pacific Rift, and Apocalypse)
MLB 12: The Show
There are more but I can't really think of them right now.

I've been wanting to get into Metal Gear Solid lately, and I just recently found my PS2 and had traded a game with a friend for Snake Eater.

I'm totally stuck on inFAMOUS. Can't get past that fucking hot air balloon mission.

Man, you should have gotten the HD Collection for the PS3 but I guess that's alright. I also have the MGS Essential Collection for the PS2 that has MGS1, 2 and 3.

I'd like to make a little use of my PS2 again though. The nostalgia, albeit relatively young compared to my N64 nostalgia, feels nice.
Yeah that is true. I wish i had my PS2 so I can play Jak & Daxter again or even Final Fantasy X-2.

native HD without having to pay for an extra cable
My 360 came with an HDMI cable. :3 Then again it was the top of the fucking line 360 when I got it. My original 360 that is.
Anyways PS3 = 360 > (3)DS > Wii.
Yeah that is true. I wish i had my PS2 so I can play Jak & Daxter again or even Final Fantasy X-2.
And lolol I still have a PS2 and FFX-2.
