I'm wondering if anyone else has, and what they thought about it.
I also watched the movies along with it.
The series was dubbed, the movies were subbed.
So, a few questions..
Did you enjoy it?
Favorite characters?
Which ending did you prefer?
Did you feel as tho it dragged on or did it need more time or was it just right?
Personally I quite enjoyed it.
I thought the premise was new and creative. I liked the whole plot line and all of the twists and turns.
My favorite characters were probably Jealousy (broke my heart in both the movie and the anime :'( ), Ryuk, and L.
I prefer most everything about the anime to the movie, apart from the ending.
Well, partially.
I do like the pain and insanity that Light went through in the anime, it just tied together better in the movie for me.
Felt more like an ending that was plausible to happen in an incredible situation such as they were all in.
Though I am still torn about whether I prefer L to survive to the end or not.
Somehow it did seem right that he would triumph even if he did have to die for it.
As far as the amount, the end felt a little rushed in the anime.
What I mean by that is they find out so quick into the last episode you feel as tho it was just a little too soon.
I would have liked the suspense to build up a little more.
The seppuku was pretty intense though.

I felt the premise of a "Grim Reapers' notebook" that kills by writing in it was great. I've never seen anything like it before. I also felt the length of the anime was just right. They could've stretched out the ending a lil more but, all in all, PERFECT

Just a few aspects of the movie I enjoyed.
It was also nice to see all brunettes, I find blonde Asians a little out of place.
And the women were all beautiful, that was a bonus.
LD ~ I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Who was your favorite character?
I hope you like the movies.

if you did, then they gotta be good

Every bit of it.
Favorite characters?
Light. His laugh at the end just made it for me.
Which ending did you prefer?
Ugh, the standard?
Did you feel as tho it dragged on or did it need more time or was it just right?
I though it was ok, I'm not one to sit down and watch long animes. I prefer watching a lot of short series.

While I do hate to see a good show end, I notice pretty much all of them have an incredible amount of filler episodes instead of a fluid continuing with the plotline.
evil: There aren't too many that do so either.
The only other one I can think of off-hand is Hellsing.

twa: Yeah i agree on the long anime for the most part.

I know right? I hate fillers so much. Though sometimes their good ones. But man, fillers like the ones in Naruto? OMG!

Every time I try to go through them I need to change computers cause something breaks, lol.
Inuyasha had some pretty terrible fillers tho.
From what I hear, so does Bleach.
Again, not far enough in it to get to them.
