#102688 IT'S A TRAP

Posted by Silver_rose on 24 August 2016 - 03:19 PM in Everything Else

I thought the light side fought for balance to the force.

That's what they want you to think

"Only sith deal in absolutes"

#102502 Albert Einstein

Posted by Silver_rose on 19 August 2016 - 03:42 AM in SCIENCE!

General relativity is hard... It's so hard to understand.

Conversely Special relativity is easy to understand, once you know some general relativity.

It's funny because I thought that because it was special, it would be harder to understand.

#102501 IT'S A TRAP

Posted by Silver_rose on 19 August 2016 - 03:29 AM in Everything Else

^^^ LOL

I'd be neither and why? Because I like the idea of being boss and not having to deal with either side's bullshit, fight for balance!

#102500 Emo

Posted by Silver_rose on 19 August 2016 - 03:23 AM in Everything Else

Emu - a unique and very curious bird that does not see humans as a threat.

Emus are weak punk-ass bitches.

You want a real bird, fight a secretarybird.

That's hilarious, because Australia had an Emu war and lost... The Emus won.

#98295 Awesome events for this year.

Posted by Silver_rose on 19 January 2016 - 05:05 AM in SCIENCE!

Unfortunately a bunch of these wont apply to me as I'm in the southern hemisphere, but I'd love to see a shooting star. I MAY have already but I believe it was actually just some spacejunk being burnt in the atmosphere.

These are great.

#98140 I can't believe I missed this the first time around.

Posted by Silver_rose on 02 January 2016 - 06:58 AM in Everything Else

I would pull them both out and walk home single.

No one has time for that crazytown bullshit.

I concur wholeheartedly

#97186 Back To The Future 2, Biff Lodgic

Posted by Silver_rose on 18 November 2015 - 06:36 PM in Sci Fi

(sorry about my last Post, didn't show up)

Yes, I know the theory of quantum mechanics theory of the multiverse, im not in kindergarten. I was applying to that theory and editing it a bit, I was saying that you could travel, not just in time. but through your actions, travel though Universes and parallel dimensions because of your actions. where the course of the edited history had taken course, by returning the now edited past in which you had changed to get to the parallel dimension back to normal, when coming to the present, it would your ordinary universe. so when you change history, you don't just travel in time. but space.

Alternate/parallel dimensions have nothing to do with Alternate/parallel universes, unless you subscribe to superstring theory and they are incredibly loosely related. All I'm saying is that your theory isn't original, it has been theorised for a while, nothing to get your knickers in a knot about, just shows you have abstract thinking of your own for realising it exists.

#97141 Back To The Future 2, Biff Lodgic

Posted by Silver_rose on 16 November 2015 - 05:52 PM in Sci Fi

In back to the future 2, Biff Changes the Future by giving His past self the almanac. but when he comes back in the Delorean, He's back in normal 2015. not Biff's Paradise future. Can anyone Explain why He's Back in normal 2015? because he should arrive in the future in which Biff is rich.

He returns to his normal future without realisation because:

He's dumb and hasn't realised that the actions Marty make by stealing back the Almanac rights the future (his present).

Time travel, while I scientifically love the concept... Makes me a little irked in movies and series, because it makes all of your actions seem so fucking deterministic (usually, some don't). Not to mention that going backwards in time is scientifically impossible unless you're able to move faster than the speed of light (which to our current understanding IS 100% impossible).

Yeah, I have a small Theory of mine: Its basically if you go back in time and change or edit the existing past, you would travel, not just into a future where it would be different, but a whole new parallel dimension/alternate Universe. Yet, you would know the thing other people wouldn't

This theory already exists, it's a quantum mechanics theory of the multiverse, coined as the many-worlds theory.

Assume you can go back in time... Even a change in observing the state of a particle could create a different reality.

#97140 What happened to this genre?

Posted by Silver_rose on 16 November 2015 - 05:40 PM in Sci Fi

Stargate Universe ran from 2009 - 2011. It was an awful show so you might have thought the people were travelling through dreams in rusty cardboard boxes, therefore not being Sci-Fi. All good.

Have you heard of Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome? That aired back in 2012 I think.

Also, Dark Matter might be of interest, check it out. It came out this year apparently, I've only seen a few episodes from season 1. The people wake up from stasis in a space in ... so on.

There have been a heap of Sci-Fi shows that haven't been plot around people travelling through space. I liked Terra Nova, Continuum, Under The Dome, Orphan Black.

and ... what Affray said.

I definitely recommend Dark Matter, I like it. It's a little to the left, or to the right from your typical sci-fi series and it does it well.

I would however like to see more, newer sci-fi series coming out.

#97129 Early Christmas Rant.

Posted by Silver_rose on 15 November 2015 - 11:07 PM in Everything Else

I love Christmas.

I want to celebrate it for the month it's in.

That doesn't make me a grouch, it doesn't make me a joyless person, it makes me a person who wants to celebrate a holiday in the month it falls on.

Same goes for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and every other holiday.

This.

I love Christmas too and I dislike seeing products for Christmas out too early.

But I don't let it get me mad, I've learnt to only care about it enough to say it once or twice before December rolls around and I'm all "motherfucking Christmas yo!"

#96909 Let's talk about zombie plans

Posted by Silver_rose on 04 November 2015 - 07:08 PM in Everything Else

I'll have to steal some cattle from any of the dozens of nearby farms

I like this idea, not so much for the meat thing, but dairy cattle would be great. Meat is well and good, but you can live pretty well off milk and cheeses (unless you're lactose intolerant of course). However, if you can find yourself a good bull for breeding in the long term, you can definitely afford to butcher more cattle.

#96863 Let's talk about zombie plans

Posted by Silver_rose on 03 November 2015 - 04:10 PM in Everything Else

Personally, I'm all for the ranged weapons, because I'm under the firm belief that with classic, slow moving zombies, the virus would likely be transmitted via blood/other bodily fluids (don't think that way I'm talking saliva from biting). Rather than a hatchet, I'd be going for the bow and arrow, mainly because you can retrieve arrows if you have the chance, but they're also easily made.

#96847 JarJar is a sith

Posted by Silver_rose on 03 November 2015 - 02:27 AM in Sci Fi

Yeah I read this already, it's an interesting concept... I'd love to see if it's accurate...

#96744 Happy Birthday, Rose!

Would you believe I don't actually own an ax?

No...

#96603 What costume each state searches for most.

Posted by Silver_rose on 24 October 2015 - 07:50 AM in Everything Else

I'm a little baffled by some of these...

Potato

Pregnant Nun

Slutty pumpkin

Gnome

The thoughts they create... No I don't want to envision them anymore.

#96407 What's your favorite movie and why?

Posted by Silver_rose on 17 October 2015 - 04:46 PM in Everything Else

Your answer is acceptable. You may enter the temple, enjoy the buffet.

THERE'S A FUCKING BUFFET!?

Uh umm, I mean, sweet.

#96405 What's your favorite movie and why?

Posted by Silver_rose on 17 October 2015 - 11:03 AM in Everything Else

Without having seen every movie in existence, I can't honestly tell you.

I like movies, at times, isn't this enough?

#96404 So I'm trying to convince like a dozen people

Posted by Silver_rose on 17 October 2015 - 11:01 AM in Everything Else

"Those are old cracks"

"If they were old cracks they'd have dirt in them."

"Well..uh..it probably won't get any worse."

Just shoot them all, problem solved.
