I dont have a color preference, the color is usually chosen by the deck im building
EX: My main deck [for milling] is blue/black for Glimpse the Unthinkable [2 mana, 10 card mill], Circu, Dimir lobotomist [remove and cant play copies of non-land cards], Psychic Drain [Mill X cards, gain X life], and Traumatize [half cards, rounded up]
I usually use black for cheaper decks [Morality Shift and Mortal Combat = instawin], and will throw a couple Door the Nothingness' into my all-colored decks
But I find it funny I still have my first deck, white bird deck with Commander Aesha [protection from creatures] and 4 Unquestioned Authority's [enchant that gives protection from creatures]
Im actually selling all my cards... I need to come up with a list

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Shows what you know! I read it and its only been up here a couple of hours. I currently have a gruul deck. I am building an izzet deck. The izzet deck will be very interesting i think.
My gruul deck generally swings for game on turn 4 or 5.

Made my first magic deck with a friend today. It's Black/White and based on life steal and life gain.

Has anyone played with planeschase cards? A friend bought a bunch of them online the other day and we played teams. Those things change the whole damn game. I feel like I've been out of the game for too long, we heard the other day that they got rid of the mana burn rule.
My first novel, Seeds of Magic- Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, Kobo, Sony Store

Oh man! Best card game ever! I have alot of old classic cards left, when I started playing back in 1997 or something. I have an old Black combo deck with Spirit of the night and recurring nightmare thing.
But, I refuse to play with the new cards and series. The are ugly and extremely unbalanced. Its the old cards that rule the new Magic sucks major. + the cards looks so megabad nowdays with the computer imaging.

That's cool, just regular whites and blacks or white/black guildpact?
I have no idea what the difference is. >.>
A RL friend has been teaching me how to play.

normal white/blacks would be white cards and black cards separately. Guildpact was an expansion that emphasized dual-colored cards, so I use it to refer to cards with two colors. Not much of a difference, but it gives you an idea of what the deck is geared towards.
And that's cool, playing with RL friends is the best way to learn and to play. I have boxes of cards both old and new [I use them for everything from coasters to props], I would be happy to mail you a bunch of cards if you want. They do me no good seeing as I don't play anymore.

Bro.... You're claiming the old cards were better balanced? Time walk, CMC 2. 1 blue 1 colorless, take an extra turn after this one. Ancestral recall, CMC 1. ! blue mana draw three cards or force opponent to draw 3 cards. Time vault, 2 colorless artifact tap to take another turn after this one, it doesnt untap normally, you can skip a turn to make it untap. However you can also use abilities/spells that untap it. Making an infinite loop of turns with this is ridiculously easy.
Older cards had no such nonsense as "balance". And while certain types of decks are overpowered now there is also no winning on turn 1 like there was back in magic's earlier days.

Looks like a pretty healthy mix of dual and single colored cards to me.
You don't have anyone around there to sell them to?

Well, those cards are very hard to find, and they are highly expensive, the power nine are great cards, but noone ever plays with them anyway. But it was more balanced in the way that it was funnier to make combos back then. Now they make the cards very boring, and they look like shit. No feeling left. Also they make cards the same in all colors, like there is a green "ball lightning" and a red "giant growth" and stuff like that. Well its not really fun anymore. Who won on the first draw anyway? It was like 0,1% chance and you had to have just the right cards.
