Hey! So i've just finished re-reading 'Y The Last Man' for the third time and am still as in love with it now as I was when I first picked it up.

 

Anyone else read this one?

 

Any thoughts?

It's a graphic novel about a guy and his monkey who are the last surviving males of any species on the planet after a mystery disease or virus or attack kills off everything with a Y chromosome. Just about him and a bunch of people trying to figure out how what and why it's all going down and how to fix it. It's awesome!

Oh, wow, so a "last man on earth" scenario that sounds like it doesn't suck.

It's done so well but so fucking scarily at the same time. A world with only women, they get shit done but man are they brutal haha. We don't need the sociological separation of the human species to continue but we sure as hell need to Y chromosome. Love it or hate it, as flawed and awful as we men are, we're here to stay i'm afraid. You can create the rampant rabbit and synthesise sperm in a lab but until some genius come along and cuts out the need to clone and can replicate the random generation of genes without horrific side effects we're still useful for one thing :-P
