Hey guys,

So what's something weird that you find yourself doing every so often that you take in your stride, yet when you look up you notice that your friends are just kind of staring at you...

For example, I will take the wrong syllable in a word and purposely accentuate it. So like, sometimes with the word avocado instead of saying avocado, I'll say avocado. Or even the word syllable: instead of syllable, I'll say syllable, just to mess with my friends, or my mum :)

So what's something that you do? I'm talking funny laughs, external projections of internal monologues (yes I've been watching a lot of scrubs), just anything a little weird that you really like to do because it's awesome :)

The syllable thing is such a small thing but it can really throw people off!

I get my works mixed up sometimes. If I get too excited about something I get this sort of verbal dyslexia where I mix up letters or words, Something like, 'speech of figure' or sometimes 'spigure of feech'

I sometimes, typically when alone, just play out a situation in my head and go along with it (call it either boredom or a good imagination) but sometimes I accidentally do that in public and people are seeing me "react" to something that doesn't appear to exist and I've gotten quite a few strange looks that way.

I have many quirks

I run my hand down my friend's face when they're doing something to startle them.

Sometimes I tell people random facts that aren't actually factual, to see if they pick up on it.

Walk into stores being  painted up (literally) or wearing fancy gloves and a hat while the rest of me looks like trash, or in cosplay.

Because I can...

Oh, I can relate! I do this too! I have conversations in my head either with myself or pretending I'm talking to someone else, and before I know it I'm making facial expressions or hand movements at nothing but the conversation in my head. I stop when I realize someone is watching me with the strangest look on their face.

I twitch my nose sometimes without realising, I do that thing where I run something through my head and make facial expressions a la Sushi Kitty and Turret. Erm, I collect foetuses in jars and put them in the foetus room.

I sometimes say "Can you do me a flavour?" instead of favour, just to see if anyone notices.

They usually don't.

I prefer saying "I have to race like a piss horse." as opposed to the regular phrasing.

If I am having a long conversation with someone that I don't have to speak in for a while I will subtly wiggle my upper lip while the other party talks and see how long it takes them to notice. Then pretend like I wasn't doing anything when they stop, annoyed, and ask me what the hell I am doing.

If someone is speaking to me and they are the type to maintain eye contact while speaking I ramp the intensity of my eyes a few notches and really try to push myself through their eyes and in to their soul to see if I can make them look away for a moment. People who don't maintain eye contact with at least some consistency while having a conversation are subconsciously accepting that they are inferior to the person they are speaking to (whether they truly are or aren't). I want to see if I can cause someone who normally asserts their dominance (consciously or not) through eye contact to bend under my own gaze. There is something deeply gratifying about knowing that I can Jedi mind trick some people in to cowing simply due to my presence. Aaaaaand I just realised that makes me sound like a serial killer, or a Sith.

Oh oh sometimes I say jizz instead of cheers when I'm thanking someone, because of the accent it can be an almost unintelligible difference.

Also, when I'm looking for anything for more than a minute, I quote the Homestar Runner website and say, "Where's my cottage?" like Rather Dashing and then shout, "TROGDOR!!!!!!"

What are you doing? How can cheers and jizz sound so similar?

I've said it before, I'll say it again: you guys are awesome. I just remembered today I totally do what Different Turret and SushiKitten do, but I always imagine I'm being interviewed. So if I was asked such a question in a hypothetical interview, this is what I'd say. And so I pace back and forth doing hand gestures and actually talking to myself hahaha but its so much fun. I like to think I've got interviews nailed for when I'm *sigh* thuper famouth.. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

it's like, if you are just getting the word out quickly it sounds like 'chiz', all you gotta do then is replace the c with a soft j and kappow, you're basically replying to a kindess with ejaculate.

Do you want innuendos?

Are we talking like rudimentary fetishes here?

Like eye contact, or touching someone's feet?
