okay I need your help. I go to school but when I get home I just feel like crying and sometimes I do. I get so bored so quickly now of everything and don't feel like doing anything. I want a hobby and I need suggestions I need help finding something that interests me. I just sit in bed and listen to music and feel like shit all day until I fall asleep.

Do you know what you're passionate about? Make a list of stuff that you want to know more about/explore, and do stuff based on that. You can research/just learn stuff as deeply as you want.

 

Also, how creative are you? How creative do you want to be? Music, drawing, animation, poetry, anything?

 

Or just devour the shit out of some books. Manga, novels, whatever.

 

Or, as shallow as this may sound, what's kept me going through my darkness this summer was Grumps. Something pretty insignificant and stupid, but something that I could hold onto and throw myself into and fuel myself with. I actually learned quite a bit about game design from Arin and Jon and a lot about the world from Dan. Barry is inspiring creatively, and Ross makes me feel good about myself because I identify with him quite a bit. His confidence gives me hope that it's okay to be myself (which is something I have trouble with).

Tough love isn't always a bad thing and frankly it is what people need to hear sometimes.

 

And imo I think I gave the greatest suggestion.... go find something you like... if you are closed off in your room thinking about all the hobbies you don't have, you aren't going ot get anywhere.... just go and do those hobbies. At least try something. Go out and experience the world and find something that fills your little heart.

 

No one in this world is going to make you happy unless you make yourself happy first.

It's harsh, but it's true. Asking other people to give you a hobby is just... I can't even emote how peculiar and stupid it is. And Emo hit the nail on the head. Whiny kid whining about being a whiny kid. There's absolutely no way to help someone who does something like that.

What you need is a shred of confidence, your lack of it will most likely be the reason girls don't like you. If you're wondering how, try changing your appearance. I don't know what you look like but I can guarantee that if you better the way you look you'll feel happier about yourself. It isn't even difficult. Style your hair if you don't, pick out a celebrity hairstyle you'd like to have. Invest money in good fashionable clothes that are on trend and flatter your body i.e. no baggy stuff. Groom yourself and make sure you always smell nice. Once you do all this you'll be happier with yourself and hobbies will interest you again and you won't be so bloody mopey. As there is no point in searching for a hobby when you just said that you don't feel like doing anything.

He was looking for attention. There's a difference. If you sugar coat and tip-toe your way around people instead of telling them the cold hard truth they'll never change and they'll just keep feeling sorry for themselves. Sometimes when tact and softness is used up that's all that's left.

The first half really hurts. The second part is more helpful to me. This is actually all helpful to me. Eventhough, reading all of these really hurt, a lot. You guys are really helping me. I get what you are all saying and I was pretty much wasting my life acting the way I was. So I guess the change is starting now.

And, anyway, I was thinking about it on my way over here, and the bigger thing I wanted to say in this thread is that it's your damn opinion. Who the fuck am I to tell you guys what to say? Sometimes I just get caught up being a ...I dunno, a big brother? The etiquette police? Whatever it is, I need to chill out on it sometimes, and this was one of those times.
