Chatting

There is a Skype group chat function, which I think would be good for text chatting and organizing D&D tournaments, writing groups, or anything nerd forum related.
I also think this would be a good idea in general. For communities to have a Skype Chat, per se. No calling required, and you can set an applying thing for people to apply. No real names have to be used, as you don't need to have someone on your contact list for them.
So, how about it? Nerdforums Skype chat? I think SO
PM me if you want the info
Spleen: If you believe that it would direct attention away to the forums to the point where we would start losing users to the chat, I won't make it. Consider this me asking permission as well as expressing my idea

If at some point we need a voice chat or something like that to play games together, I have a mumble server. Otherwise, all text based communication can be done on the forum.

I know the answer is probably no, but just a thought.
Also, mumble servers aren't Mac compatible.

And yes, they are. Mumble has a OSX client.

Maybe you can reply to forums you followed from an email? If you get emails from following posts, I don't actually know because I never followed one. I think it'd be a nifty idea, and one worth pursuing. If you can't, well, an idea for a new feature. If you can, then I apologize for being too lazy to check xD

However, I'm not going to pursue the matter further, currently. It may be up for discussion later, but not right now.
