What type of job do you have?

I am a computer wizard and purveyor of awesome things. 

I'm a manager of a restaurant. (kill me)

Electro-mechanical technician.

 

It's usually easy money, but the people I work with always look like they want me to quit my job and/or want me to be dead.

I run my own embroidery/vinyl business, an online shop where I sell patches, and me & my dad do flooring jobs from time to time when the opportunity arises.

What sort of restaurant was it again?

I'm a master of the tanning arts.

I play with dead animal flesh all night. So it can become your next pair of boots. Or wallet. But most of the leather we do is in fact, for work boots.

We mostly do steer hides. I have worked with elk, deer and pig before but that's rare. Due to our process those hides are so small and thin they tend to get annihilated almost to no good use.

My job specifically is coloring. The chemicals I use (besides dye) are put in for a number of reasons:

Pre-wash - knock loose all the frills and dust from the shavers and we'll clean the hides up.
Neutralization - I'll let Google explain that one.
Re-tanning - basically it's a number of things, including dye. Powders fill in cracks, plump up the hide. Coats to help seal in.
Fat-liquor - also fills in and smooths out any cracks. Google explains better.
Fixation - adjusts the ph, stops existing processes. Basically stops and sets them in.
Final wash

Every order is very different. There are always various washes between stages as well as fixations. Depending what chemicals are used and what purpose the leather serves. Some orders will require a lot of dye and acid whereas some will require ammonia to raise ph levels.

It's called Culver's. It's kind of a mix between a fast food restaurant and like a 'sit down' restaurant. Overall not a glamorous job at all, but it works for now.

I will however say that the graphic designer who set up their main website needs to hone their skills a bit.

i work as a software engineer for embedded systems at a tech startup.

I like Culver's I've been to several Minnesota locations. Here where I live we have a local joint called Randy's which is the exact same style but better. So I normally go there.

Dem butter burgers tho.

I have also never heard of Culver's. I guess it's just a Midwest thing.
