^ Agreed. One of the most well known comedians of all time.

#109729 Who's is your favorite character from the X-Men Comics?

Posted by Cotton Candy Hot Tub on 19 August 2018 - 08:05 PM in Comics, Books, and Graphic Novels

My favorite X-Man is Cyclops, but if I had to choose a female, then I would say Jubilee.

The name X-Men kind of sounds sexist if there are women in it too, right?

They should still separate the two by calling one X-Squad, X-Team, or something similar. Was Marrow in both at the same time or did she alternate? I can't remember.

I write songs, not novels.

#109619 Which Witch Is Which?

Has anyone tried the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery game on mobile? I'm kind of addicted to it. Second year Ravenclaw at present. Which Howarts house did you choose?

I give up on trying to make any sense with these bots.

#110516 Too far up?

Posted by Cotton Candy Hot Tub on 05 January 2019 - 09:13 PM in Everything Else

I kind of think the same way, besides the fact that I don't think all religion is stupid. I mean, isn't atheism also a religion?

I can see how you went from being a Catholic to Satanism though because it was like a rebellion, right? I kind of thought about trying that when I was a teenager, but I got distracted by a girl I had a crush on who was a very devout Christian. I guess I kind of rededicated my life to Christ at that point. After high school, I began to realize that God wouldn't answer my prayers anymore.

At this point, I don't think about religion that often and I ask questions about the Bible to other Christians like:

"Where did Cain's wife come from?" or "Did Noah have termites on his ark?"

On the other hand, if someone held a gun to my head, then I would probably say "Oh, please Jesus, don't let me go to hell!"

Ooh. Religion. Very touchy subject, but I'll bite. I was raised Christian (protestant). I still occasionally believe, but after God ignored me for so long, I decided that I am sometimes an Atheist. I'm like an Athiest-Christian milkshake.

Whenever I think about death, I still identify myself as a Christian.

Lol, 96bananathing is Hindu?

#110521 Too far up?

What does that mean? I wasn't criticizing Hinduism at all. I thought maybe you were a spambot, so I didn't know you could have a religion. Maybe I was wrong. Are you by any chance a real person?

#109874 THE DEPRESSION THREAD

Posted by Cotton Candy Hot Tub on 11 September 2018 - 08:07 PM in Everything Else

Thanks again for the encouragement guys. I just can't get seem to get over that place I worked at. How perfect it was for me. I also can't stop thinking about how bad I am at job interviews. It always seems like the interview is going really good, until they ask that one random question that has me puzzled.

#109861 THE DEPRESSION THREAD

Posted by Cotton Candy Hot Tub on 10 September 2018 - 06:27 PM in Everything Else

Yeah. I'm just tired of moving from job to job in hopes that I can find one as good as the one I was let go from. Eventually, I might not be able to get hired anywhere again.

My Dad is threatening to kick me out of my Grandmother's house if I don't get a job this week. I have no where to go with tons of debt in medical bills. I have been to multiple failed interviews. Why can't he understand that? I'm trying, but he's making things a lot worse. If I don't find a job immediately, I'm just gonna kill myself.

Thanks for everyone's concern. I want you all to know that I did find a job, but I am not so sure it's one I'm going to enjoy. At least I'll still have a place to live.

#109034 The "What Are You Listening To?" Thread

Posted by Cotton Candy Hot Tub on 08 January 2018 - 05:14 PM in Everything Else

I like catchy guitar riffs and heavy, but short solos. I hate growling, but screaming is ok as long as it is not throughout the entire song. Does anyone have any similar band suggestions?

We are the champions by Queen

That song is a little slow for me, but for some reason it always reminds me of high school. I would much prefer a different Queen song. My two favorites are "Stone cold crazy" and "Tie your mother down."

My sister has played the SHIT out of the Borderlands games. We grew up playing stuff.

Is Borderlands something that's uncommon for women to play? I haven't played any of those, but the Borderlands trailers always looked very appealing. I really just miss having the money to blow on stuff like video games and spy gadgets.

Well, there haven't really been a lot of female protagonists in video games up until recently. Video games are usually played by guys, but I just think it's very cool when girls play them.

It's a bit of a haul at the beginning while it sets itself up and gets you into the characters and premise.
But once you finish the intro you can pretty much just fuck off wherever you want and adventure like a hero, or a villain.

Affray, I know I'm super late in asking you this, but did you choose to be mostly a hero or mostly a villain? I'm on chapter 3 and I still haven't decided which one I want to be yet.

Lara Croft
Aerith
Samus Aran
Zelda
Jill Valentine
Cortana

That's just off the top of my head and not dipping into the more modern games.
They're out there.

I guess I should have specified the time frame instead of just saying "recently". I was thinking like... before the past 25 years. To be fair, two of the ones you mentioned were from before 25 years ago, but all I was saying was that there were not nearly as many female protagonists as there were male protagonists in video games.

I'm sure there could also be other reasons for more male gamers than female gamers though.

I can see that. I sometimes like to be bad though because I can vent out some of my frustration in a virtual world. It doesn't feel wrong to be the bad guy for me, but in this game, it rewards you for being good.

I've been playing RDR2 with my co-workers. Getting into firefights in the middle of towns is fun.

A female who plays RDR2? Didn't think I would see that. There definitely need to be more female gamers in this world. I'm not so sure why there's a shortage.

I ended up going with Red Dead Redemption 2. Not sure if that was a good decision or not yet. The intro was boring, but the free roam seems just as fun as Red Dead Redemption 1 so far.

Which game is better, Spiderman 2018 or Red Dead Redemption 2?
