So nerds and nerdettes. What is everyone currently doing for fun? 

 

I'm trying to build a shop for my hobbies, but the current price of lumber has made that a little harder than it should be. I don't game much anymore, though the last two days I've put some hours into Fantasy Blacksmith. I've been in a bit of a creative slump lately, but trying to stay busy. Painting miniatures has turned into a fun hobby, along with the blacksmithing stuff I've been doing.

Gaming mostly. I thought playing GTA: San Andreas for my Xbox 360 would be better than the classic PS2 version because it had better graphics. I was very wrong because the controls are awful and traditional saving doesn't work.

 

Other than gaming, I also went hiking with some strangers I met on an app. I would tell you about different restaurants that I tried recently, but those are not really hobbies. I did actually try and cook something one day for a change, but it didn't turn out very well.

Are your miniatures from a 3D printer?

Most of my spare time is spent on either writing, or teaching myself graphics design. Working upwards of 70 hours a week hurts, but my insomnia means that I have plenty of time to do my hobbies nonetheless, at the cost of being dog-tired all the time. As part of the writing side of things I've also been making custom Yu-Gi-Oh! cards (since my main project is a YGO fanfiction).

Streaming/gaming mostly. I really enjoy the social aspect of it, getting to connect with people while I game and explore a story. I also enjoy baking a fair bit, though I honestly have no done much of that recently.

Collecting, gardening, listening to music, playing cards, reading, saber practice, and swoop bike racing. You know, pretty much hobbies that most other people have.

@Koala just noticed your new icon. It terrifies me.

 

My source of fun is mostly the Switch. Nintendo be keeping me sane in this bullshit. Also, quirky Disney shows. Some of them are trash, some of them are fascinating. Secrets of Sulfur Springs kept my interest the whole time.

 

Oh, and WandaVision WAS SO GOOD. Watching Falcon and Winter Soldier now, or as we call it "Sam and Bucky".

Is the app specifically to meet strangers for hiking? Like Tinder with more ticks? 
And most of the painted minis are from my 3d printer, yeah. I have bought a couple from Games Workshop though.

I unintentionally have a small garden growing in my office. There's like a dozen plants in coffee cups. Beyond that though, I'm not much of a gardener. Swoop bike racing sounds like a perfectly normal, obtainable hobby for everyone.

I don't get to shoot much anymore. What are your go-to guns? What sort of calibers do you reload? 

 

Finally got to shoot my Sig P320 and the AR10 that took 3 years to build.  As far as go to...  I like them all for different reasons.  Some for hunting, some for just plain fun to shoot.  Started getting into IDPA and ASI matches, so I am going through a bit more rounds.

 

I reload 38 Spc, 357 Mag, 9mm, 45 ACP, 44/40, 223/556. 300 black out, 30 carbine, 22-250, 308. 30-30, 450 Bushmaster, and 458 SOCOM.

Yeah. I was playing GTA; V and I noticed that it didn't allow me to go into most of the buildings. In GTA: San Andreas, it allows me to go into almost all buildings. Plus, the girlfriends were fun stereotypes for the time.

 

The app I used is called MeetUp. It used to be for meeting people based on interests. Unfortunately, it has recently been taken over by yuppies. Now it is trying to inch its way into requiring people to meet based on their career paths.

How's the graphic design going? And pictures of the custom cards? 

Graphic design is going passably well; I had to get a new PC after my previous one died, so I lost a lot of my prototypes and whatnot in the process, since pretty much everything on the old computer collapsed upon itself at the same time. It was held together by my battlefield repairs, including screws installed through the laptop's plating (which went through the USB slots) to keep the casing together. Oop.

 

No pictures of the cards, since they're designed for a fanfiction; in essence, they're text-based. I have approximately 600 in total, however, spanning more than thirty custom archetypes.

I mostly remember getting really fat in that game. Not on purpose, but because CJ would stay hungry.

I wonder if it would be worth it to buy a 3D printer, if all I want to do is make two or three small figurines.

Don't worry. That's the best show on Disney Plus right now anyway, even if it is historically inaccurate.

Mastur...erm.... I mean. Learning more about astrology. That's all I've been watching on youtube the past month or two. Reading articles about Elon Musk's efforts to Mars. The books at the library seem outdated as a few of them still deem Pluto a planet.

Both actually. Last month in my country we celebrate something called MATARIKI, place heavy emphasis on star alignments, relating to fish migrations. Way of life. The things I learn and do when I no smoke weed.
