I have recently installed a program called Camtasia, and since then many programs on my PC have been informing me of the absence of my sound card, I have one in my PC but it is just not being detected whatsoever, I'm using the windows 8 preview currently so things are a bit fidgety, When I plug headphones in it does nothing, same with speakers and a HDMI cable. Please could somebody help me fix this? Is it a driver issue or has Camtasia damaged something in my Windows directories?

I'd uninstall camtasia and reinstall the drivers.
