I think that's what made the White Stripes so cool. Everything about them was simple or minimalistic: their clothes, the red-black-white color scheme, and the instruments. And yet it was still loud shit. >.>

I think it was pretty interesting at how basic they could make everything and still come out with complex rhythms.

Exactly.

At least Jack started up other bands after they split. The Dead Weather's cool coz it also has that Allison from the Kills and one of those guys from Queens of the Stone Age (never listened a lot of the latter though.)
