What is the purpose of owning a tablet? What do tablets offer that computers don't?

I don't use my tablet very often. But i bring for traveling sometimes because it uses less space and i can also read books on it.

They're easier to travel with. I don't see the point in owning one since I already have my phone and Kindle, but whatever.

My phone only has an expandable slot to 32gb.

I own a 10 inch Samsung Galaxy ..3? Shit I don't know. Anyways I love it.

I like to use it for watching Netflix during a bath or being in bed when me and the woman don't agree on something to do.

EDIT: watching movie or reading. Being lazy.

Before getting hit with Epilepsy I used to paint murals and canvases for a living and I started using my tablet basically as a portfolio. Examples of actual physical media printed out on photo paper and carried around in an old style leather bound portfolio was bulky and easily damaged. Converting all the images into digital formats and carrying around a tablet was far simpler. Not to mention on the go gaming  :)

Now that I am stuck doing mostly digital work from home I still use a tablet to keep jpg files of all my work.
