So we talked about having a happy things thread and I have two pretty awesome things to be happy about so I decided to start it so let's get started!

First of all, I got to go on one of THESE babies:

mechanical-rides-4-station-bungee-jump-0

A "Euro Bungee," it is called, and it was FUCKING AWESOME, as I knew it was destined to be, and my second Point of Happy is that in order to ride that beast of delight, I was asked to weigh myself, and I have discovered that down from about 235 lbs (about 107 kg), I am now 190 lbs (about 86 kg)!!

The last time my weight was that low, I was like, 13 years old. Jesus Christ.

...Colours!

Sounds awesome, and congrats on bring lighter than you thought.

I've actually been on that trampoline thing. It's a ton of fun, and you can do so many freaking backfliips.

We have one of those in town for some months each years. Kinda fun, yeah.

I'm really happy right now because I did really good at the college entry exams last month and they want me to jump a year actually.

It feels good to be proud of yourself sometimes   .

Also me and my dad are finally getting done with packing all the stuff, and we're moving in a bunch of days now.

Omigosh I need to jump on that thing!

And congrats on the weight loss! :) It's always a great feeling when you realize how much you've lost.

Thanks everyone!

And I was too scared to try backflips. I did have the time of my life just jumping as goddamn high as I could, though!

And now I feel a headache approaching.

Haha you beat me to the punch line with making this thread :) but that's cool, I was taking too long trying to figure out a good enough name for it, and you nailed it.

As in the great words of Gandalf:

That's my belief, anyway.

So yes! Keep the good vibes flowing!

I'm happy because just recently I 'hacked' my first DMG! And am currently learning LSDJ :D much excitement.

Apparently Gatorade cures headaches fairly well.

Which I am fairly certain is just a combination of electrolytes and the placebo effect.

I drink gatorade all the time. I haven't had a headache for the better part of a year.

Cheers, Greyhame.

And I had a gatorade yesterday; it didn't help much, but only because it was muscular/tension.

And before I went home, I went on the Scrambler. Didn't do much for my headache, but it was quite fun.  :D

In contrast to losing weight, I've actually gained weight. Half a stone. I'm now 9 stone which makes me happy because I may finally be bulking up. I like to think I've gained muscle mass from having started working out some weeks ago. It's probably not but hey it's what I'll keep telling myself.

I've made my peace with our squid overlords and no longer cry myself to sleep about it at night.

I'm looking forward to going to St. Louis in a couple weeks, gonna see me a zoo.

I had recently posted in the depression thread because everything was going to shit and quickly BUT in the past two days I feel like my whole world is shifting and I'm like bursting.

I got approved for my new place (finally have an actual house and not just an apartment) and I can't wait to move in June, AND I got a raise at work.

I hope this isn't temporary and good things keep happening ^_^

That is TERRIFYING!!!!! *Shudders* Even thinking about going on that will kill me!!! So your first point... Absolutely terrifying.... *RUNS AND HIDES*
*RUNS BACK OUT FOR SECOND POINT*
Congratulations!! Weight loss can be very exciting. A friend of mine lost 120 pounds over a couple years. She was absolutely thrilled when she told me last week. :) So congrats to you!

Super awesome! I know what it's like to go from Mega-Depressed to having things shifting. A house is such a big deal! My financial problems are so massive that I may have to leave my home and move back in with my grandma, so getting your own home is really amazing.
I think as long as you have a good support system (The Nerd Forum) even the bad things won't seem so bad, and the good things will be magnified in their greatness.
The raise is nice too!
