He's suppose to sound like he has throat cancer so no one will recognize his voice!

He's suppose to sound like he has throat cancer so no one will recognize his voice!
Tell that to Adam West.
His voice concealing tactic was to just say "bat" more when in costume, and no one figured him out.
Why do people not like him?
Ben Affleck is like anchovies.
You either really like them, or you really, really don't, there is no middle ground.
Plus, comic fans are a rowdy lot.
So if they don't approve of an actor being cast in a role they love, they tend to turn in to rabble rousers.
Even though they can't do anything about it, they cry out in rage and sadness.
In this case they should take a step back and look at the Superman movie that this movie will be a sequel to.
It was not that good, so the sequel doesn't have to try very hard to top it.
Also, I have been thinking about Ben Affleck as Batman and it is starting to make sense.
He has the jawline and the look of an obnoxious billionaire already.
Now ask yourself, who in the world would you least expect to be Gotham's Dark Knight?
Ben, Effing, Affleck.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Why do people not like him?
I'm not sure people dislike him i.e. The Town & Argo both of which he directed and starred in & everyone loved. I think people blame him for Daredevil (one of the worst comic adaptations alongside Green Lantern & Elektra) & don't want him to ruin a second comic book role. But had you told most of those same people Heath Ledger was gonna play the Joker they (and myself as well) would have poo-poo'd it too & Ledger did a great job.
Word is, Affleck is getting groomed to direct the first Justice League movie, hence his involvement in the current project blah blah blah.

Personally? I'm really looking forward to Ben Affleck as Batman, and I don't think he'll let us down. People had this same reaction when they cast Heath Ledger as Joker, and I said, "Hey, keep the faith, it could be good," and then BAM! One of the best Jokers ever.

Even if Ben Affleck is a good batman, he still wont be THE batman. Only Christian Bale is the batman in my mind.

I liked Daredevil. But I'm behind on Batman films in general, so I probably won't see this for years anyway.

I don't dislike him but I'm not so sure about casting him as Batman...I dunno, I guess only time will tell on that. Oh, and didn't really care for him as Daredevil either. Just gonna tack that on.

Kevin Conroy is by far the best batman. But on the screen I have to go with Keaton. Ben Assfleck is better nowdays in movies like Argo. But as Batman, no way it will be silly. But on the other hand, Superman has always bin shit and the new Man of steal is crap to. So Ben's Batman might just fit in like a glove in the new superman vs batman thing and they might make it as bad as Batman & Robin (1997).

I would not argue Kevin Conroy being a live action Batman.
He already nails the shit out of the voice, and he certainly has the jawline.

I hope you are the only one.
Val Kilmer was good in The Doors, and that was it in my opinion.
Something about him sets me off.
Also, my fiance sent me this yesterday.
