You have no idea how long I stared at the grip for the case thinking "what the fk is that velvety compartment for and why is it pinkish" before I realized it was just the blanket.

Nice!

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Even after reading this I still stared at it trying to figure out why there's a pink rag with the gun.

Just for plinking right now. I'll probably go to qualify for my CHL before long though.

Also, I finally found some 16 gauge shells, woo!

Oh nice! Yeah ammo is still not super easy to find, but it is getting a little bit easier.

Yeah, between academy and a little gun store in texas city I was able to pick up 200 rounds today. I've already shot around half of it though. >.>

A lot of people talked about having feed troubles with the gun, but I reliable shot until it got filthy, and then I only had problems out of the slower rounds. Super X's were still feeding just fine. I'm hoping to find some CCI Velocitors or Stingers sometime soon to put though it. Also, I don't think I got 20 rounds through it before I had to kill a snake. >.>

Also also, my background check took <5 minutes. Apparently the fastest one they've ever done. The government must know something I don't. >.>

I don't have a gun show this week, but next week I will look around. If they have any that aren't ridiculously priced I'll grab em.

And the government is watching you like a science experiment. They allowed a new variable to be added so they can observe the reaction it produces :P

Yeah, if you grab anything, I'd be more than happy to buy it off you.

at first glance looking at the logo on top of the grip, I read the swirly logo as "Hotwheels" and shat bricks.

then I realised I misread, and laughed at myself.

In Canada it is basically pointless to own a pistol.

Firstly because we don't fear each other as much as most Americans.

But mostly because it is an amazing pain in the ass to even bother with the whole process.

They are fairly expensive, there are a million rules about when and how you can transport and use it.

You can only fire them at a firing range, and you have to call the RCMP to let them know you are going to the shooting range with your pistol.

They want departure times, arrival times, how long you will be there, and then your transport times home.

They want to know absolutely every detail of what you are doing with your pistol at all times.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Honestly, I don't own it because I plan to use it on anything, I just think they're fun to shoot. I will probably get my concealed handgun permit soon, but not because I want to carry in public, just because having one means I get to skip the background check.

I have never seen a magazine release like that.  But then again, I have never shot a Walther.  I'm looking to downgrade to a 9 mm from the .40(10mm) i currently have.  A local shop has a S&W Model 39 used for ~$290.  Seems to be in pretty decent condition, and all the parts can be purchased if i run into the need to replace something.  Also wood grip handles are kind of baller.

I'm pretty sure all the modern Walthers have them, they are really easy to use, especially on the full sized guns, even in heavy gloves.

The 39 is a fine pistol, and hard to beat at that price. Are you looking to have it just for shits and giggles, or a carry weapon?
