Hello, new forum. I come in search of new friends. My favorite forum that I had joined in 2004 has just closed down, so I'm looking for a new home. I spend most of my time happily attached to a monitor (which preferably is further attached to some form of internet) and thoroughly enjoy my dork identity. I am only a semi-nerd, but take comfort and joy in the company of the eclectic, knowledgable, social outcasts that we all seem to be. So, hey. 'Sup?

Hiya. We've recently been a little slow here lately [not many posts and horrid server uptime], but this place is great once it's busy.
Welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your stay

Welcome.
I found this place after the forum I called home suffered a similar fate to that of your former stomping ground.
I am quite content with everything and everyone here, as I am sure you will be too.

Greetings
The forum I used to trawl just became uninteresting, didn't shut down.
But I like it here and I hope you do too.
Because I can...

Correct use of commas in a post, hmmm...

Well, let's see... I use the Oxford comma for listing things, pausing after each item in said list, and before concluding said list.
Have I passed?

You're giving me facts when I clearly asked for an opinion. Minus twenty points from Gryffindor!
I meant feelings towards Oxy. Whether or not it should be used with three separate ideas or items.
I hate those that believe it should not. It's one of the four hundred and twenty-four ways I judge people.
Welcome to the forum, Sympa.

And how did you know I was Gryffindor?

Some people you can just tell.
A free high five to anyone who can guess what house I always get sorted in to.

You seem the Slytherin type to me.
I am far too kind for the likes of them I'm afraid.
Good guess though.

Ravenclaw
Nailed it.
Every single house sorting test I have ever taken slots me in to Ravenclaw.
I always score the lowest toward Slytherin, and equal points toward Hufflepuff and Gryffindor for second place.
