I know you are meant to appreciate Devin's whole project, which is SYL, that other band and his main project,and that each project is meant to convey a certain emotion or aspect of life but I really liked Strappers and the other projects don't do as much for me, he is an amazing musician though and it will be a kick ass concert so have an awesome time

Well I consider DTP to be what his solo thing evolved into. And while I love SYL, my favorite albums of his are solo efforts or part of the DTP: Ziltoid the Omniscient, Addicted, and Epicloud.....with Deconstruction following up in a close 4th.

Fair enough, it's funny to think the inspiration for SYL was Pink Floyd, creating a wall of layered sound in a 3D space (2D since sonic placement is a ratio between the time difference between two ears).
Two friends of mine are big into DTP also and saw him when he last came here, one of them also did his research thesis on him, the other did his on Roadrunner Records.
