with the reboot a few days away, I figured it deserved a topic.

anyone got any love for this flashy, twitch-reflex hack-n-slash?

Personally, I find the games a little repetitive, but fun as hell >.>

Some people complain about the difficulty, but I'm one to welcome a challenge.

Completed 1, 3, and 4 on their highest respective difficulties. Never found the second game for sale. Don't intend to buy the reboot because the design of Dante is icky, and the games don't have all that much replay value in general. Maybe when the price drops I'll consider it.

I'de played through 2 and 3 on their hardest difficulty, I was personally a big fan of 3.

I'm actually downloading 4 right now, gonna give it a shot and see what's new.

Emo Dante? Non-funtime, oneliner spewing Dante? No deal.

I'd like to hear what you think about the new one. Mostly about the newly envisioned Dante.

And I've never paid full price for a DMC. They're fun, but I beat em in a day.

Nero's arm has some pretty damn ridiculous combat capabilities. only played one and four, though. new one looks alright. redesign is off, but the combat looks as fun and fluid as ever. i'd play it if i get the chance.

Wanna see Dante REALLY break canon? Watch the Devil May Cry anime, where from like episode 2 onwards he's a babysitter.

So I played the demo, and I won't lie, I was originally one of those guys who planned to hte it right out. Now, I'm still not a fan of his new look and "I'm always angry and throw out swear words to be edgy" way of speaking over his original snarky, smooth bad ass one but still, the gameplay seems to be there so I'll give it a fair shake.
