Honestly there's not many upcoming games I care about either >_> The Last Of Us, which I won't get until it's cheaper, and...that's all I can think of.

I get tired of GTA games very quickly these days. Same goes for Saints Row. I mean, I like SR3, I just got bored of it. If I wasn't so close to getting the platinum for Sleeping Dogs I daresay I'd have just finished the story and quit playing it forever, too.

Watch Dogs seems kinda Deus Ex-y, which is all well and good except again, I got bored. There really haven't been many games this year capable of holding my attention for longer than a few days, ignoring the obvious multiplayers like Black Ops 2 and Mass Effect 3.

I would look at both games based on their own merits, and not let prior releases with some similarities bias your opinion.

I mean, we have a great example here. Look at the huge technological step from GTA2 to GTA3, sandbox game with 3D graphics, blew people away at the time.

then GTA:VC to GTA:SA, bigger world, vibrant/fun locales, a focus on storytelling and character progression. Everything from the graphics to the gameplay were polished to a point, to the capacity that the ps2 would allow.

then GTA:SA to GTA4, smaller world, but much fuller, rising to meet the technological limits at the time, again. The Euphoria engine revolutionized character animations and physics, and they did it without making it the main attraction. Based on that engine they then made RDR and Max Payne 3, showing that it's not only good for car physics, but for gunplay and AI too. Add that to the huge roster working at R*'s branches, and you have a tour de force that is probably making other developers nervous.

When I look at it like that, I literally CANT WAIT for GTA5. Every release R* raises the bar not only for GTA, but for sandbox games that follow, and I don't think they are gonna disappoint this time.


Watch Dogs... They're really being secretive about it, which in any other game would turn me away. But they're doing everything right. At E3 they showed gameplay, not cutscenes, next expo they revealed a little bit more, enough to sate the diehards but not enough to kill the air of mysticism around the game. From what I've seen, it's a futuristic, tech saavy sandbox game that focuses on problem solving without bullets. Basically what every sandbox fan has been bitching about the last console cycle.

47 Ronin sounded cool until I read the words ‘Keanu Reeves.’ No deal. They tried to pull that crap with Tom Cruse once. No friggin deal.
Didn’t know that World War Z was being made into a movie. If Mel Brooks is not involved somehow, I’ll be disappointed. The book was epic, so my hopes are low.
Surprised they’re continuing Percy Jackson. That kid has to be twenty by now, and I think there’s eight more books in the series. Plus, the first one didn’t have the fight with Ares and that’s the whole damn reason I bought a ticket. Athena’s daughter was cute though. Still, pass.
Hangover 3? Really? A twelfth Fast and Furious doesn’t surprise me, but how many more people in that movie can get married? Cash grab.
And a new Riddick? I loved Pitch Black, but after that... meh. Games were good, different.

I'm incredibly psyched about Riddick, honestly. I'm a huge fan of that series.

And Pacific Rim belongs on that list. GIANT ROBOTS BATTLE LOVECRAFTIAN INTERDIMENSIONAL SEA MONSTERS! Everything about that is freaking awesome.

This seems like a very entertaining year, at least for me

As for my movies I see a couple a definitely will check out at some point. The movie that sticks out most to me is definitely Catching Fire. I've read all the books in the Hunger Game series and I'm curious to see where they lead the movie. I hope they keep it more to the book this time than last time!

Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Man of Steel are all must sees for me, I might see Warm Bodies which at first was described as twilight with zombies but after seeing a commercial it mercifully doesn't seem to be that. Not excited for WWZ as I don't see it translating well to film despite loving the book. Won't be seeing the new die hard because dude was a dick to my boy kev smith, also he's kind of lost it anyway in my eyes, where as Arnold Schwartzenegger has got it again (his new movie looks ok)

Sly Stallone was a huge juicer until not that long ago.
I guess he did that latest Rambo movie and saw how gross and huge he was and stopped doing it to himself.
Bruce Willis isn't too old by movie standards.
He has also kept in pretty decent shape his whole life.
I can't recall him ever getting fat or sloppy like a lot of other famous actor types.
So old he may be, but I still like him.
Plus he looks like my dad, no joke.
