I bought my sister a Finn plush for Christmas, I'm hoping she'll love it.

Honestly, I grew up on The Simpsons so I've always been biased towards that, even the newer episodes. If I had to choose between those two, definitely Family Guy.

I liked the Simpsons but never got that into it. Family Guy is pretty damn funny. I love Stewie

None, I prefer The Regular Show and Adventure Time... But if I had to choose I would say Family Guy.... I like Stewie.... But yet again i would choose Roger over Peter Griffin any day

I would say American Dad... Granted I haven't seen much of either but what I have I prefer American Dad over Family Guy.

Family Guy used to have some serious kick behind its jokes for the first few seasons, then it sort of pewtered out.
They now rely on completely stupid, not funny stupid but caveman stupid, references and pointless cracks at things that no one in the generation that watches it gets. It is a sad thing to watch a show rely on quips that are only "funny" because they are so out there that no one understands them.

American Dad on the other hand is a fair bit less reliant on the random sillyness that made Family Guy famous.
Which inherantly makes the show stronger because it is more character and event driven, much like the first few seasons of Family Guy.

I can watch any episode of Family Guy and laugh, but that is where it ends.
I can rarely watch that same episode again and find it funny.
Once that flash and dazzle of a sidewinder of a joke/nutty situation wears off there is nothing left but a sad cartoon working way to hard for a chuckle.
