[LD50]

was woken up tuesday by a loud crash in the kitchen. there was what i at first thought was smoke everywhere. got my dog out of harms way first then i went back in to discover my kitchen sink was now inside the cabinet, but nothing was on fire. good thing, too, cause the smoke, as it turns out, was my extinguisher. turns out a pipe under my sink ruptured or something, knocked up my sink far enough to unbalance it, and it then fell and removed the nozzle of the extinguisher. oh so much fun. some things got ruined, thankfully most of it just needed a good cleaning. most of it is finally up. i still feel it on my skin, and probably will for a while. i could feel it in my lungs for a while there, too.

That sucks man, glad to know you're ok though.

Also, the fire extinguisher powder on ABC ones sucks. Try to stay in a shower as hot as possible for a while and it'll help.

nah, it's stainless. it's not particularly thick, but it's stainless.

too bad it woke me up instead of happening after i woke up. that thing must've been shot up more than a couple inches like i had thought >..>

Yeah, we have them from 5 to 25 pounds at work. Sometimes a valve gets rattled open or something, and it leaks. One guy not only lost the pin, but didn't have it secured on his truck. A quick stop meant it slid forward, hit the front of the bed, and discharged 20 pounds of the shit in the back of his truck and the surrounding cars. >.>

at the time, probably not. i like to imagine when he got out of the truck, it was like those silly cartoon antics where everything was white except the silhouette from where he was sitting.
