Hurricane season is over, and I don't see any tropical cyclones on the National Hurricane Center's website. Are you talking about the nor'easter? They suck.

As a person on the Gulf Coast, wait until you get hurricanes like that. :P

I would much rather be in an area that is frequented by tropical storms and is actually prepared for them. My house and neighborhood is surrounded with tall trees and power lines. Not at all designed to withstand consistently high wind speeds.

Tropical storms aren't quite a problem where I live.
Blizzards, yes, tornadoes, sometimes, sexy parties, always.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Tall trees surround my house too, but they're well rooted oak and pecan trees that I really don't have to worry about. I did notice that you guys have terrible disaster response there, the out of state light companies and disaster relief crews were sitting in parking lots for days.

Would it then be safe to say that you are freezer born?

My Florida home makes me feel safe. What with all the codes to be up to date with.

For the sake of a clever pun, absolutely.
Though I am as warm blooded as a human can get, which is kind of an odd pairing.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Actually, I just successfully removed a tree using a bow, rope, some carb cleaner and a suv. I'm hoping to do the same to this one.

O.o where does the carb cleaner come in?
