I've put close to 130 hours on skyrim so far, one character. eventually I'll make others.
I've done tons of things, from fighting bears with my fists, to killing giants with daggers. 100 sneak is pretty handy with all the sneak tree perks. incredibly useful in dungeons. I can stand right in front of bandits and such with my dagers practically picking at their knees. and they just stand there.

It is especially potent when you go through the thieves guild quest line and become a Nightengale and choose the perk that allows you to become invisible whenever you crouch (for the duration of the spell).

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

What are some great mods?

Some that don't clash with the tone of Skyrim

There's a ton that Tes and Jeremy have listed throughout this thread. As far as what clashes or not, I have no idea. >.>

SkyRe is pretty fuckin awesome. It redoes the skill trees to be more interesting, makes some stuff more challenging, adds new items and spells. SkyUI is a MUST HAVE. Makes the menus so much better, and sortable.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

your idea of skyrim is different than mine, so i'll try to just list overhauls right now...

skyui: a must http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3863
quality world map: adds roads to your map http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4929
iphud: if you're like me and don't like the hud placement. has two variants (one is like oblivion) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4210
skyrim hd: makes the game prettier. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/607/
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8655 mesh improvement
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/60 better blood
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/711 better water, or http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13268 does it, too
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/85 better night sky
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2730 better sorting

that's all i can think of off the top of my head. there are also female and male mesh improvement mods, but those i have to log in to link because most of them have nudity, too.

Aye, ty guys

I'm still wading through the storyline, even though I've beat skyrim a dozen times I like to beat the game before I try any mods

I'm old fashioned like that

Do you also play through an entire series of games if the newest installment is coming out and you haven't played it in a few months.
Because I do that religiously.

That is unfortunate.

When I heard the release date for Assassins Creed III I promptly bought the third and fourth game and played all four through.
I was not disappointed.

Very good series, IMO

I started getting bored when I didn't have to kill people myself, though >.>
