Im on a ship and will be for the next couple months or so... Ihave my personal computer which consists of: (see signature). I have more then just the 2 seagate HDD's in it but they are small.
My objective is to turn this into a gaming server of some sort to host a couple PC games on. Im a fairly knowledgable with computers but far from being a genious. This computer is also hosting multimedia as well not sure how big of a factor that will play.
Any instructions/assistance is greatly appreciated!

Firstly you would need a very fast internet connection, which I doubt you will have considering you are on a boat. So that's your first hurdle already to overcome.

If it's just for others on the ship, a switchbox and enough cat5 is all you really need. Most games that have server components set up and install pretty easily.
