I am not sure if this belongs here because I don't know if my issue has to do with my driver or not. Anyways, whenever I start up or restart my computer I get a red X for my internet. I can't connect to anything. Just this morning I decided to reinsta;; my driver and it seemed to work but I have yet to try to reboot or start my computer back up because if I have the issue it will take me a while to get internet again. Can someone please tell me how to fix this red X problem if this continues?

install all your solutions (drivers, 3rd party software, even a list of step by step if needed) onto a flash drive so if it messes up again you can just use the flash drive to fix it. This is a short term solution and should be used to try and troubleshoot the problem. We need information like are you using a Dongle? (That can cause blue screens and internet outages caused by a software clash in some cases) Are you using a router? Wireless I assume? What were you doing before you powered down last and what did you do before it stopped working? It can be many things... fried network card blew out my last computers internet, Ive had a D-Link internet driver update go wrong (Power outage while updating corrupted the file), Another one is power useage for D-Link cards connected via PCI input, you would need to go to BIOS and change your power options for your PCI slots.

This is all speculation obviously and we would need more to diagnose the issue.

yeah was likely a driver fail, update fixes those all the time, usually it is because of the update in the first place that it fails.
