Thank you! And I actually do play the Pokemon trading card game in tournaments and my decks have always been water decks. I have another deck on the side to play with my friends but that's for a different format that we created.

That's so cool, I haven't seen pokemon cards since I was little.

 

How large is the community at this point?

My collection of cards is quite extensive. I have about 15 binders full of cards, I'm trying to collect all the cards in each set, and a few boxes full of extras that are used for deck building or trading. The tournament community is fairly large. There's national and world tournaments. In the city where I live there's a fairly large community also. A lot of the players have been to nationals and even worlds. There's probably almost 200 people in my area that play at least. We have a game store where they hold Pokemon league, where players can test decks and play, four times a week. They do other card and board games also like Magic the Gathering, Vanguard, Yugioh, D&D etc. As for our format there's only a handful of people that play so far but it's growing. We actually got a few people at the game store interested and they've built decks. Pokemon has a really cool community. There's actually more older people that play than little kids.

You know, I played the card game back in the day, but what I really liked was the Gameboy color edition. That was damn fun, and I didn't have to deal with people to play, cuz I hate people, but like games.

A friend bought a game called settlers of katan last week/earlier this week and wants to play this weekend. I don't know what it is, but him talking about it tonight, and then you bringing up a card game from my childhood, has made me think about games. I liked Magic, but haven't played in a long while. I think I still have a few decks around.

Also, I'm downloading that Pokemon card rom. I wanna play that shit.

I love the gameboy edition also. I actually just found my copy the other day and have been thinking about playing.

Selttlers of Catan is a fantastic game! I hope you play and enjoy it. There's a lot of add ons you can get for that game to make it more interesting (Not that it's not good without the add ons. It's a fantastic game just on it's own)

I've just started getting into magic. My boyfriend built me both a 60 card deck and 100 card edh deck. There's a lot to it but I really enjoy it so far.
