Does anyone else do this? I think I'm going to start, at least on my work computer (yay not paying the power bill)

For those interested, but not involved, here's the link: http://folding.stanford.edu/

Also, I went ahead and started a nerd forum team, if anyone is interested. 216624

Awesome. Do you still do it for their team?

Also, how was it working for EVGA?

got the v7 client running on my work computer. I'm currently averaging about 34000 PPD without using bigadv, and the i7 at stock clocks (really need to get a good cooler for it) with two 550 ti's (damn fry's always being out of nvidia cards)

Also, for anyone else that might be interested, the v7 client is much easier to use. Here's a link to it, and the install guide.

Got the go ahead to use all the old computers at work, 5 free pci-e slots I'll soon fill with cheap nvidia cards.
If I fill each with another 630 I'll be getting about 75k ppd from work. >.>

Yeah, I know they removed it a while back, I imagine that was a pretty big hit to available FLOPS.

Your processor might get some good SMP action going though.

 I'll give it a shot

me and it are currently fighting over how to render ps2 games

You'de think that running 3 threads for software emulation would work better than using the stock onboard video card for DirectX rendering.

but the battle for frames continues.

Remember though, your onboard video is a lot better than most onboard video.

Yeah, it's on the same die, but the APU video chips are pretty amazing considering the price. You can crossfire them with the low end 6 series cards for more power as well.

That was something I was gonna ask you around christmas, but I ended up not getting enough money

So, if I were to start looking at new cards, how could I tell if it can crossfire with the current on-board chip?

I don't remember what chip you have off hand, so you'd have to tell me, but amd has it listed on their site. I know the top ones go up to the 6670. Here's the chart.
