Rebooting trouble. Alienware Aurora X51. Infected with serious virus

Hello! So, my Alienware has been infected with serious virus. And i need to either restore the system to a previous point, start in safe mode with Internet, or Re-Install the whole thing. The problem is, the BIOS doesnt show when i restart the PC. I go straight to log-in screen, and that's it. I heard i could use a DVI cable instead of HDMI, but my alienware doesnt have DVI.

So, i could really use some pointers on what to do here <3 Please respond quickly, as i have alot of work do to. Thanks

If I recall Alienware X51 BIOS is locked you need to remove the BIOS battery then turn on your computer, shut computer down again and replace the battery, now you have erased the lock on the BIOS. Now press whatever key is allocated for accessing your BIOS menu on start up (Should be f2) if not press enter and that should show you what keys you need to press to get to BIOS menu.

If its safe mode you want and it won't boot into safe mode turn your computer on and then when it gets to the login screen press the power off button or alternatively turn it off at the power switch. when you boot it up next it will ask you if you want to start in safe mode with networking.

I am assuming you are using Win7 since your computer model is about 2-3 years old. If it is upgraded to Win8 then I am not sure if the process is the same. Good Luck.

Silhouette's power cycle trick should prompt you for the boot screen menu.

System restore likely won't work - fairly common point of attack. If you don't feel like re-installing windows, while in safe mode with networking download OTL. Once you've downloaded it go ahead and run it and click on Run Scan. It will produce two txt files wherever you run it - upload those and from there I can help you get rid of your bug. (bear in mind there might be a small amount of personal info within those log files - ie your local username for windows etc.)

if what silhouette and emosaurus suggests doesn't work try eset command line antivirus. its so easy a caveman could do it. but don't use it to delete anything. just use it to find the virus/malware. once you find it get your hands on malware bytes file assassin and use it to delete it. then repair registry. wash, rinse, repeat. oh, and quit lookiing at so much pr0n
