I'm thinking the Mayans we're full of shit but just today on the news they issued a warning that Cyclone Ivan is about to hit New Zealand at the end of this week... Just last week we had our 1st "killer" tornado, and an earthquake also hit the week before....

Seems like there's heaps of natural disasters occurring across the globe lately.... Did the Mayans REALLY get it right????

IMO...... Nah I'ma live til I'm 50 and have 20 children.... I don't feel like dying just yet ;)

I feel like the news the next day will be full of crazy shit, and I can't wait to see the number of babies next September, but I hope nothing too destructive comes of it.

So I don't think the world will end, but I am worried about people's reaction to it, and I hope they keep it at stupid things rather than going on a murder spree or sometihng

I hope so, so long as there's a post apocalypse.

To be honest, we all die, once we're dead we don't know. I don't care if I die so long as it's quick enough that I don't realise. That being said, I'm in a low place right now, ask me in June and I'll probably have changed my opinion.

To be honest, we all die, once we're dead we don't know. I don't care if I die so long as it's quick enough that I don't realise. That being said, I'm in a low place right now, ask me in June and I'll probably have changed my opinion.


While this is true, something you CAN learn from the Mayans is their outlook on life.

Life without death is meaningless, death is what gives meaning to life and makes it all the sweeter. Enjoy the now, enjoy every second you can, because the eventuality of death will always hang over your head, and being depressed about it does nothing to sway it's immutable task.

EDIT: or was it the aztecs... either way cheer the fuck up :P

Aye, you're preaching to the converted, mate. I'm just having problems at the moment. I guarantee you by Friday things will be pretty good. Until then, there's my old friend alcohol. Any way, this isn't a thread of me to moan about my life! No, in reality I obviously don't think the world will end, I think that's become very fucking apparent as the days drag on closer.

I still want to have an end of the world party if it snows though. Barbecue, t-shirt, shorts, flip flops and sunglasses.
