Ubuntu linux is super easy to install and use. The only problem I have is that a lot of games won't work through the WINE program.

Windows 7. There was nothing wrong with XP per say, but I do like the Windows 7 tweaks.

Fedora 16 XFCE and windows 7

I lost the registration key of my windows 7 copy so :C

And Ubuntu loves to bug out on me when it comes to the UI, otherwise I kinda liked the Unity Interface after I got used to it

Haven't used Windows for a while though, and I'm quite happy with fedora
The only issue is that I think Gnome just likes to bug out on me, so I have to use XFCE
Which isn't the prettiest UI in the book

Yeah, the Unity UI is very nice, I like it quite a bit. I've recently seen(saw?) a screenshot of Mint though, and I might have to give it a whirl.

It's weird that Gnome gives you so many problems, and kinda sucks. I find it to be my favorite.

It does suck, especially since it is the interface that is updated and etc
but, life goes on, so I've gotten used to XFCE and am kinda fond of it
I only use like 4 different applications anyway; Chrome, Jeany (coding), Filezilla and My Volume changer

Linux Mint is pretty well done. They did a great job creating a windows alternative

guide to installing gentoo for the first time:
open up a whole day
curse a lot
wonder how baal did it in like an hour
do a victory dance when it actually boots

crunchbang had a gui installer (based on ubuntu). wonder how that project is doing, haven't checked on it in a while.

Windows 7.

I wouldn't be opposed to trying out Linux one day though.

I constantly here people talk about Ubuntu is becoming more and more bloatware like, and more folks seem to be taking the switch to Mint, saying it's more linear, streamlined, and simple without the unnecessary crap that Ubuntu seems to be pumping out more and more with every new release.
