For my boyfriend's 19th birthday I would like to get him something he would really want, however I have no idea what headset has the clearest sound or what the coolest keyboard is etc. I know this is technically cheating but I was hoping you'd be able to give me some advice as to what to get him. He's always talking about graphics cards and cables... but I don't know what any of it means. He's into gaming but downloads all his games. Any responses would be appreciated (no sexual replies please - that joke's too easy.)

You had to ruin my fun, didn't you?

Since we don't know any of his computer's specs it's hard to give hardware advice. (for a graphics card, or something like that) How much are you looking to spend?

What games does he play?

If the game(s) have a cash shop feature, you could just buy him points to spend on in-game items/upgrades/whateverhewants.

Lets get a bit more information, what are you looking to spend for starters? What are the names of some of the games he plays(you can get online gifts of them) favorite color, and possibly what graphics card he has, if he mentions it again.

Is there anything that he especially gripes about? Like...computer too hot, cord too short, mouse and/or keyboard lacking features that he wants...?

You could go the practical route and get him something that would be useful/have long-term value and that he would really appreciate having. Cooling pads, longer cords, mice/keyboards that have what his current ones lack would easily solve the problems I mentioned...I don't know if any of these are actually issues for him, but if there is something else that he complains about, let us know and maybe we can recommend something to make him happy.

I do agree with everyone else though--We really need more details to be helpful.

I personally prefer giving practical gifts. I happen to have a nerdy boyfriend too, though for his birthday I actually didn't get him anything nerdy XP He liked what I got him though because they were things he needed/could use and had been talking about for awhile ^_^
