How are y'all keeping sane in quarantine? Found any new hobbies?

Pretty much the same, except I have to wear a mask when entering a building. Other than that, I've been hiking, playing video games, and working. I have also thought about building model airplanes, but I'm just not in the mood for a new hobby right now.

Sane?

Anyway...  nothing really different here as well.  Just have to wear a mask.  Still working, still think the folks I work with are on the wrong end of the gene pool.  No new hobbies yet.

I'm pretty sure I lost my mind way before the pandemic started. Like everyone else said, the only real difference is wearing a mask. I am so glad the bars and restaurants are back open again. Just got a new job. It's a sucky job, but I definitely need the money right now.

Stay as safe as you can. Good luck at the new job.

I quit my job and found a new one about a month ago, but have been working the whole time.

I also tore down a shed and replaced it with a garden, rebuilt my bathroom floor and got a new toilet, and plan on building a wall sized storage shelf/cabinet in my kitchen.

This new job has given me more time and energy to actually get shit done and I'm digging it.

The king of tigers can use high waisted pants to fight the virus of the president and relax when the animal crosses the play time of child lovers in isolation while the app is banned in the east creating another race war to better understand wild prisoners who start wildfires to prevent sports in Russia that my friend would usually like if you didn't take all the talk away from her and now all I can do is sit at home and play my little guitar that I will later sit on to watch a box that has nothing in it before I look down to realize I'm sick of wearing the same old shirt.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Also, I am not remotely the artist I thought I was. Time to practice and watch tutorials!

The advice I've most heard from artists is to just practice.

Don't make excuses, don't half ass it, just practice.

The rest will fall in to place as you go.

My hands shake too much to do any type of drawing or painting. Plus, my art teachers usually didn't like most things that I tried making. Maybe that's only because they never gave me enough time to finish any of the projects they assigned to me. I have thought about building things that have instructions, but I don't have much space to put anything else in my house.

Lego don't take up much room, if you can manage that dexterity. It gets expensive quick though.

My art teachers didn't like my stuff either.

I didn't fit their preferred style so they wrote me off.

Now I design and digitise logos for my own business and create patches as well.

Teachers aren't always the best gauge for ability or talent.

Yeah. That's pretty much why I made that Lego thread. I eventually decided to put them in a display case, but that takes up a good bit of room too.

You're very talented too. Maybe I have some hidden talent I'm unaware of that most people previously criticized me for or maybe... just about everyone does, but they decided not to pursue what they enjoyed just because they were criticized by someone who doesn't really know what they were talking about.

That's unfortunately super common.

I try to encourage people to just do what they enjoy doing if at all possible.

There's enough horseshit in the world that it's important to stick to your own path as much as you can.

For an industry that's based on creativity and innovation there's a whole fucking lot of narrow minded simpletons in the art world.

I've been painting tiny figurines. Also I have a tiny project car. Also I'm an introvert so my life hasn't changed much besides wearing a mask to the hardware store
