Anime D&D

Give me some ideas on how an anime based dungeon could work out, i want some people to help me flesh out workable story and mechanic to add to a normal D&D story arc to make it feel like an anime. What i have so far is that the world the characters live in exists in multiple realities of earth, ones where the races and general atmosphere strongly resemble D&D. Although each realty also function in a slightly different way, therefore making each session and/or individual campaign resemble a certain form of anime. whether in be Magic, fighting, mecca... etc. I usually compare it to a kingdom hearts feel, where the characters will have to fight incarnations of a entity, commonly refereed to as "Death" or "PureDark", in each of these maps. Each darkness creature takes on a different form in each map.

I seem to recall that back in the day, there was a manual for a Sailor Moon D&D campaign. If you could find that, that'd be a good starting point.

There is a set of tabletop rpg books called Anima which is of course anime based. Probably easier to use that, though I can't claim to have any experience with it. You could also use GURPS books since they are more easily adaptable than DnD rules are.

SAO and the Magi series do some dealings with dungeons, although they don't quite touch on DND rulesets. Still something you could get ideas from though.

You could try steins;gate and have it as an overarching plot tying everything together
