It's that time of the year. I didn't buy anything last year because I have not really touched my Steam games at all. Now that I got a half decent machine I feel it might be time to catch up on a few games.
Any good recommendations from the last couple years that are on sale right now?
What are you guys buying?
I bought two games already, old favorites of mine that I lost the discs to ages ago. Baldur's Gate 2 and Icewind Dale HD remastered!

Can't currently check as Steam is down, but the key ones off the top of my head are Spec Ops: The Line, Ticket To Ride, Metagal, Far Cry.

It is indeed down. Apparently the sales are so good it crashed.
They're the ones I've bought. I also bought Sid Meier's Pirates, Sonic Adventure 2, and... something else I forget.

The Sales are slowly coming back online. I finally got logged in but had trouble adding to my cart. It took ten minutes but everything seems to be back.
So far this year I bought two of my favorites as mentioned before.
Now I'm going to buy Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - it looks like another Skyrim though, but the reviews seem solid enough. We'll see how it goes!
I probably should buy Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, but IDK. It looks like the previous games.

I just bought Dark Souls, been wanting to play it for a while.

The Dark Souls series is the one game series I really wanna play/beat. The lore is phenomenal, the game play is great and the PvP looks very fast paced and enticing. I just get so mad/salty so fast at dying that I rage quit.

This year I'm looking to really clean out my wishlist. Lots of top down RPGs, and tower defense games I really want to try out.
For top down RPGs I might finally pick up Ember and Pillars of Eternity. PoE looks gorgeous, I can understand the price.
For tower defense probably Defense Grid 2, I loved the first one. And I hear good things about Orcs Must Die. I might just grab the second one.
A couple of my IRL friends have been heavily playing 7 Days to Die. So I'll probably snag that one too.
