I find the books fun to read but the last one is seriously too emo. And the end feels rushed.

I haven't had a chance to read all of them.
Once I start a medium I finish out that way and I started with the movies.
Same goes for when i watch an anime; if I start the manga or watch it dubbed I finish it that way first.

I only saw HP1 and Goblet of Fire, One was okay, Goblet was boring (though I liked the book).

The books are good, I like them. I liked the movies too though, and watching them in order is pretty awesome because you get to see the advance in CGI over the years.

I don't like Ron ending up with Hermione. I also read Cursed Child and their relationship is still..no. But one thing I keep in mind is that the entire series is through Harry's seriously oblivious eyes. Also the ending of Deathly Hallows was already set in her mind long before the rest of the books. I didn't like the movies after Richard Harris died. It's not their fault but still he is the only Dumbledore.

You are missing out so much with LOTR <3 its the basis for a lot of nerd culture. Or the fantasy bits.
