So I welded with some 9v batteries and pencil lead

So I always have too much free time to mess with the things on my desk. Today I took three 9v batteries, two alligator clamps, a piece of graphite from a mechanical pencil, and some solder and tinkered with welding. I guess it's welding? I don't really think it could be considered soldering. 

The video isn't the best, because apparently my phone doesn't want to focus, but here it is in glorious slowmo.

Looks like I need to buy some batteries and graphite refills now...

Do it. Anything more than 3 batteries and I suggest eye protection.
